One nation, under God…Of course, the Pledge of Allegiance. However, to a different stripe of American, Indivisible is a progressive movement, indivisibly opposed to President Trump and members of Congress who would do his bidding. Not interested in discussion or debate, these mostly young people are indivisible in their invidious goal to stamp out intellectual apostasy by silencing contrary opinions and excommunicating undesirables from the body politic. George Carlin said in 2009. "When fascism comes to America, it will not be in brown and black shirts. It will not be with jack-boots. It will be Nike sneakers and smiley face shirts.” Initially just a guide created by a group of young, former congressional staffers, now also a website, Indivisible provides “tea party like tactics” for fighting the president’s agenda. The website allows adherents to enter their zip code and connect with like- minded people in their community. So far, close to 6,000 local groups have registered at https://www.IndivisibleGuide.com. Last month, Indivisible protesters swarmed Republican town halls across the country, from Ventura to Volusia County, (https://www.facebook.com/Resistancevolusia/) and booed, shouted down, and tried to embarrass lawmakers seeking to repeal ObamaCare, including Ron DeSantis. Indivisible claims that it is noble to be “intolerant of intolerance.” But, its tea party like tactics have devolved into screaming protesters escorted out by security guards or police, speakers fearful for their safety, and violence to prevent or halt events. Welcome to the new town halls, the once staid assemblies that Indivisible is turning into houses of horrors. Indivisible is an appendage of a social and political monster, Resistance, which is beholden to no unifying principle. Each limb is angry, sometimes for similar reasons, but oftentimes not. Different groups, (#KNOCKEVERYDOOR, Swing Left, Operation 45, Movement 2017, The Pussyhat Women) including Indivisible, stretch and pull the Democratic Party in opposite directions, demanding equal and unending attention and action for whatever “right” is most imperiled. They vow to use any means necessary to “fight intolerance,” including litigation, censorship, shaming, shouting and violence. This modus operandi was adopted from a 1960’s militant group, The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration and Immigrant Rights, and Fight for Equality by Any Means Necessary, commonly shortened to By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), which was popularized by a speech given by Malcolm X. PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE When Indivisible Equals Doublespeak

Quick. What comes to mind at the word indivisible? One nation, under God…Of course, the Pledge of Allegiance. However, to a different stripe of American, Indivisible is a progressive movement, indivisibly opposed to President Trump and members of Congress who would do his bidding. Not interested in discussion or debate, these mostly young people are indivisible in their invidious goal to stamp out intellectual apostasy by silencing contrary opinions and excommunicating undesirables from the body politic. March 30, proclaimed, “Donald Trump, you don’t stand for our values, Donald Trump you didn’t win the election.” Later

in his speech he added that he doesn’t “care if people take issue with this speech, just like how Republicans don’t give

a s**t about people.”

Who is funding Indivisible? That’s an open question. As a recently formed non-profit, it hasn’t had to report its donors,

yet. Although Indivisible denies any funding from George Soros, Matthew Vadum, Senior VP at the Capital Research

Center, which analyzes non-profits, stated, “Indivisible is ultra slick, leftist astroturf activism at its finest. And, at least

three of the group’s five principals have ties to organizations funded by George Soros.” (Daily Signal 2/10

Are these groups comprised of spoiled brats having Trump tantrums? Will they fizzle out like the Occupy movement?

Or are they a destructive, corrosive movement built around the dangerous lie that Donald Trump is an illegitimate

president and that he and his agenda must be pulled down to restore liberty? Either way, it is banana republic mob

rule, amplified by a national media that has thrown out the rules of journalism and has become a part of the mob.

Enter Tony Ledbetter, Chairman of the Republican Executive Committee, Tony has shadowed Indivisible Volusia. When

an Indivisible mob showed up outside the Port Orange office of Ron DeSantis, they were met by a group of freedom

loving Republicans, including our members, called up by Tony. When the congressman held a town hall at Bethune

Cookman College, Tony once again asked for support. Our members were there and helped fill the front of the

auditorium, asked questions, despite the cacophony of haranguers, and waved signs outside. (See page 4) Tony and

fellow REC member Vic Baker recently started Trump Talk Radio aired WNDB. They need your ears and your dollars

to stay on the air and get out the good word.

For our part, the club intends to stay active in community events, spreading good philosophy and good cheer. Please

let me know of ideas you have to expand our outreach. The club will also continue supporting the young people of Volusia

County. We realize the best means of keeping a strong, virtuous, and harmonious nation is the right education of the

youmg. Young people are inundated with leftist garbage - in school, movies, music, and on television – from which they

get radical ideas. Countering this is a massive challenge, and we do what we can to prevent a next generation of

Indivisible Volusia. We sponsor children’s events at DeLeon Springs State Park. We support the Volusia Teenage

Republicans and are now helping to promote their 55 Drive membership push. We are assisting a conservative DeLand

High School student to attend the National Student Leadership Conference this summer in DC. We had our voices heard

at School Board meetings regarding a questionable history textbook. And, when the School Board held an Instructional

Materials Review the beginning of the year, members volunteered to assess textbooks being considered for adoption by

the School District.

We must remain indivisible in support of our president and our values and do what we can to squelch those who choose

globalism over national identity, big nanny government over personal responsibility, violence over voting, fascism over

freedom. We must contribute to make America great again. Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one

generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected,

and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's

children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

FEBRUARY 21 MEETING Speaker: James S. Purdy, Public Defender, 7th Judicial Circuit

James Purdy recounted the duty of his office is to provide legal representation to all persons accused of crimes

who are unable to afford private counsel through all stages of the legal process, He then asked the audience if

it agreed with this statement on criminal law by the English jurist William Blackstone in his seminal

work, Commentaries on the Laws of England, published in the 1760s, "It is better that ten guilty persons

escape than that one innocent suffer." The audience agreed with it, and that was the opening for his Power

Point presentation on the importance of the integrity of public defenders, judges, eye witnesses, DNA testing,

and The Innocence Project, which was founded in 1992 to exonerate the wrongly convicted through DNA

testing and to reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. Mr. Purdy told harrowing tales

from the Project of those falsely held for decades in prison due to chicanery, false eyewitness accounts, and

De Leon Springs State Park Spring Festival, Music and Car Show, March 18 The Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park hosted their annual Spring Festival on Saturday, March 18, from 10 am to 2 pm. The successful event featured history walks, booths, demonstrations, and live music, including the hit boy band NK5. Custom cars, hot rods, classic cars and, antique cars vied for People’s Choice and Best in Show Trophies and the Fiber Arts Guild exhibited their handmade items to wear or display. Over 1000 people came out and joined the fun. RCWV was a proud supporter of this event and others at the park and has been recognized on the Park Donor Board, thanks to RCWV Member and Friends President Karen Clark. Photos by Karen K. Clark

DISCUSSION WITH DESANTIS, MARCH 13, BETHUNE COOKMAN COLLEGE Hundreds packed the Bethune Cookman College Performing Arts Center in Daytona Beach on March 13 to hear and

question Congressman Ron DeSantis during an hour and one half Town Hall. It was one of three "Discussion with DeSantis"

events he held across his district over the course of the day. The Congressman opened the event by recognizing veterans for

their service. After that, it was obvious some people came to do more than hear and ask questions. There were factions in

the audience less than respectful of other members who were recognized to ask a question. Sometimes, not even a

microphone was able to raise the Congressman's voice above the shouts. Eventually, both those who agreed or disagreed
