2017 RAM TAILGATING EXPERIENCE RULES & REGULATIONS

Huston-Tillotson University is pleased to offer a specially arranged Tailgating Experience. The experience takes place with reservations only and will be located in the Faculty and Staff Parking Lot near the Anthony & Louise Viaer-Alumni Hall and the Student and Visitor Parking Lot near the Beard-Burrowes Residence Hall.

Tailgating will only be allowed on campus in the specified parking areas, other areas in and around the campus will not be permitted.

• Fans can tailgate and will be located in their designated tailgatingarea.

• Standard tailgating area reserved is limited to (2) parking spaces.(Check application for space limitations).

• Only (1) vehicle will be allowed per group in reserved tailgatingspaces.

• Tailgaters can use charcoal grills and small propane canisters in thetailgating area only. (HT personnel can refuse any grill that does notmeet standards).

• A fire extinguisher must be visible in tailgating area if tailgaterschoose to bar-b-que Tailgaters are required to obtain a City of Austinfood permit in order to tailgate. Tailgaters are required to complete theHuston-Tillotson University Catering Authorization form.

• Tailgaters using gas grills and propane canisters must locate thembehind vehicles, away from the fences and walking pedestrians.

• No cooking, grilling, or frying of any foods will be allowed outsidethe tailgating area. The tailgating area will open at least (2) hoursprior to 10 a.m., unless otherwise advertised. No vehicles permitted intailgating area after gate closes. Patrons failing to arrive during thisdesignated time will forfeit all fees.

• Greeks will be allowed to gather at their designated plots and enjoyprepared meals or barbecue samples.

• Once vehicles leave tailgating area, no re-entry will be permitted untilthe game is over.

• In the case of inclement weather, Huston-Tillotson Universitypersonnel reserve the right to cancel or discontinue the RamTailgating Experience.

Disclaimer There is an assumption of risk that spectators of sporting events observe when attending such events. By signing below, I choose to assume liability for my participation in this activity. I understand this transfers liability of any kind from Huston-Tillotson University to me, risking my personal assets. Therefore, I do hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless Huston-Tillotson University, and a private entity respectively from and against any and all loss, damage, claim, demand, liability or expense by reason of any damage or injury to property or person which may be claimed to have arisen as a result of or in connection with the occupancy or use of said premises during the conduct of above-mentioned activity.
