There is space for 18 writers in the Doug Kingsmore Stadium press areas, plus booths for each team’s radio network. Season credentials and credentials on a game-by-game basis are issued. Members of the media must request a pass at least one day prior to each game/series to ensure admittance.

INTERVIEW POLICY Head coach Monte Lee can be reached at Doug Kingsmore Stadium at 864-656-1921. The best time to contact Lee in the office is weekday mornings. Contact senior associate director of athletic communica-tions Brian Hennessy and accomodations can be made to interview coaches and players. The locker room is closed to the media following games, therefore, postgame interviews are conducted in the auditorium of the player facility. • Overall in the ACC standings, Clemson is in first place, ahead of second-place Louisville (13-3) and North Carolina (12-3).

ROAD WARRIORS• Clemson had a school-record 16 wins in a row away

from home that started in 2016 and ended with a loss at Georgia Tech on April 1, 2017.

• The streak included 10 road wins and six neutral-site wins.

• The Tigers won their last eight games away from home in 2016, including a 4-0 record in the ACC Tournament to win the league championship.

• The previous Tiger record for consecutive wins away from home was 12, set between the 1981 and 1982 seasons. Ten of those 12 were road wins.

• Clemson has a 10-1 record in games away from home in 2017, including an 8-1 record in road games and 2-0 neutral-site record.

EARLY SUCCESS• Clemson’s 29-5 record is due in large part to its success

scoring runs early in games in 2017.• The Tigers are outscoring the opposition 33-5 in the

first inning and 25-7 in the second inning (combined 58-12 in the first two innings).

• Clemson’s highest-scoring innings are the first inning (33) and seventh inning (33).

• Clemson is hitting .299 with a .410 on-base percentage in the first inning.

• Chris Williams is 7-for-13 (.538) with two doubles, a homer, eight RBIs and four runs in the first inning.

• Seth Beer is 8-for-23 (.348) with three doubles, a homer, five RBIs and 11 walks in the first inning.

• The Tigers are 13-0 when scoring in the first inning and 24-1 when scoring first.

• Opponents have scored in the first inning just four times (five combined runs), and Clemson is 4-0 in those four games.

SHUTOUTS• Clemson has seven shutout victories in 2017, its high-

est total since recording eight shutout wins in 2013.• The only other years Clemson had more shutout wins

• The shutout wins this season were against Elon (2), Notre Dame, Boston College (2), Furman and Georgia.

• The Tigers registered three shutout victories in a row from March 25-28 against Boston College (2) and Furman.

• It was the first time the Tigers had three shutout wins in a row since 1992 and the fourth time in school history.

• Six of the seven shutout wins have been combined ef-forts, while Alex Eubanks pitched a three-hit shutout at Boston College on March 25.

• The Tigers have had three games in which they allowed only unearned runs, meaning they have had 10 games of allowing no earned runs in 2017.

K CLUB• Clemson is averaging 9.46 strikeouts per nine innings

pitched in 2017 thanks to 331 strikeouts in 315.0 innings pitched.

• The school record for strikeouts per nine innings pitched is 9.69, set by the 1996 squad that featured Kris Benson and Billy Koch.

• The Tigers have allowed just 79 walks, good for a 4.19 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The school record in that category is 3.16, set in 1996.
