Iran Air and Airbus have signed a firm order for 100 aircraft based on an initial commitment signed in Paris in January 2016. The agreement signed by Farhad Parvaresh, Chairman and CEO of Iran Air and Fabrice Brégier, President and CEO of Airbus, concerns 46 A320 Family aircraft, 38 A330 Family aircraft and 16 A350 XWB. Deliveries will begin in early 2017. Iran Air considers that this agreement constitutes an important step forward in the direction of greater international presence in the field of civil aviation. We hope that this successful showing to the world as the commercial objectives of Iran and counterparties will achieve better results through cooperation and international collaboration, "said Farhad Parvaresh, Chairman and CEO of Iran Air. "This is a historic agreement, and not only because it opens the doors to the renewal of the fleet of Iran Air," said Fabrice Brégier, President and CEO of Airbus. "Our agreement, the complex includes the training of pilots, airport operations and air traffic management, and this agreement therefore constitutes an important first step towards more general Iran's civil aviation modernization". The agreement is subject to export licenses by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) of the US government, obtained in September and November 2016. These licenses are required for projects involving 10% or more of US technological content. Airbus coordinating work very closely with EU regulators, the US and other countries to ensure the understanding and full respect of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action - JCPOA - (Action Plan Joint Global - PACG). Airbus will continue to operate in full compliance with the conditions of PACG licenses. This agreement follows the implementation of PACG, rules and guidance associated with it and even include new orders for scheduled aircraft, as part of a comprehensive package for civil aviation. The package includes training for pilots and maintenance, support the development of air navigation services (ATM), airport and air operations and harmonization of regulations.

Iran Air e Airbus hanno siglato un ordine fermo per 100 aeromobili basato su un impegno iniziale siglato a Parigi nel gennaio 2016. L’accordo siglato da Farhad Parvaresh, Chairman e CEO di Iran Air e da Fabrice Brégier, Presidente e CEO di Airbus, riguarda 46 aeromobili della Famiglia A320, 38 della Famiglia A330 e 16 aeromobili A350 XWB. Le consegne cominceranno agli inizi del 2017. Il pacchetto include la formazione per i piloti e per la manutenzione, il supporto allo sviluppo dei servizi di navigazione aerea (ATM), le operazioni aeroportuali e aeree e l’armonizzazione delle normative.
