KFC/Amazing Event! – This week has been an amazing example of what you can do when you work together! Special thanks to Beth Spiller and her workers and all of the 100 volunteers that God used to bring the gospel to over 115 children! Please join me in thanking these for allowing God to use them in such a marvelous way! Heaven alone will reveal the full spiritual impact of these hours our children have given to learn His word and song! Successful Summer at First Baptist Church! – Special thanks goes to all who have had a part in the success of summer at First Baptist! (1) 30th Year Celebration With the Swan June 4 th ! - What a wonderful day! Thank you church! (2) Mission To Mexico – June 11-16 – Mission team of 14 conducted VBS in Divine Light church Renovated Student Cabin/ Presented 2001 Chevy Van for support of Divine Light Church. (3) Children’s Camp/Alto Frio Baptist Encampment – June 12-15 – took 22 campers & sponsors for an amazing week of learning about our Savior! We had 1 profession of faith.! (4) Salt & Light Youth Choir/Florida – June 18-25 – took 14 students and their sponsors to Florida for a wonderful week of music training. (5) Sarah Cate/Foreign Missionary/July 9 th ” – special thanks to Sarah for the wonderful day! (6) Youth Camp Highland Lakes Camp/Lake Travis – July 9-13- took 26 youth and their sponsors a for a wonderful week of inspiration and discipleship. (7) KYC Music Camp/July 24-28 th – This week has been an amazing example of how working together to honor Christ can be such a marvelous blessing! We will long remember the majesty of hearing and seeing 115 children sharing the good news of our Lord together. Round Up Sunday/August 20 th – We are excited about this special day we encourage everyone to round up and join us for a great day to honor our Lord! Gary Jones and his “Merry Men” will be cooking barbeque for the noon day meal! We will be starting a Adult I Sunday School Department on that day! Don’t miss this special day! Elevator To Begin Building In August – We are so excited that our dream of an elevator has finally come true! In just a few days we will break ground on this much prayed for project!
