2018 Captain Election SpeechesLast Friday, 17th November 2017 we held School Captains’ election speeches for 2018. Four boys and four girls nominated to be school captain for 2018. All eight of the students spoke extremely well and put forward a convincing case as to why they should be elected School Captain for Werris Creek Public School in 2018.

After the speeches all students voted for their preferred nominee. The Captains and Vice Captains’ positions will be announced on Presentation Day on Tuesday, 12th December 2017.

Myself and all staff were extremely proud of the way the students spoke and we wish them all the best in their attempt to gain a leadership position next year.

Year 6 Gift to SchoolOur Year 6 Class of 2017 proudly gifted a pie warmer to the school canteen as their farewell gift to the school last Friday.

A plaque will be made up and fitted to the pie warmer as a mark of their generous and thoughtful donation to the school.

We wish to thank our Year 6 students for their kind donation and hope they enjoyed their treat with hot pies last Friday.
