Over the course of twenty-one days, something extraordinary happened. From September

10 through September 30, over 1000 people from 48 nations participated in three weeks

of global fasting and prayer focused on Jerusalem. Led by Bishop Robert Stearns along

with over thirty global Christian leaders, this fast included special prayer sessions on Facebook

Live with various special guests, including a session with an Orthodox Rabbi, which had over

100,000 views. The fast led up to the global Awake Jerusalem gathering in Jerusalem October

7-9, which began with the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem! This year the Day of

Prayer event was broadcast live to 190 nations, featuring internationally-acclaimed worship

and dance artists, and a keynote speech by Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, Dr. Michael Oren.

Following that event around 500 young millennial Christians from 20 nations participated in

a 72-hour round-the-clock event known as Awake Jerusalem, worshiping and praying in key

locations across the city and also with the Christian Arab community in Bethlehem.

For the 15th consecutive year, Eagles’ Wings

sent Christian student leaders from colleges

and universities across the nation to be

participants in the 2018 Israel Experience.

Dubbed the “Christian Birthright” by the

Jerusalem Post and Eretz Magazine, the Israel

Experience is connecting young millennial

Christians with the roots of their faith in

Israel, among the Jewish people and also

the Christian Arab community. One of this

year’s highlights was when the students

had the opportunity to give blood to

help provide for future emergency

needs in Israel.

As students connected their faith to the Land

and people of Israel, the love of these young

adult Christians visibly grew for their “elder

brother” the Jewish people.

Already over 80 young people are planning to

participate in the 2019 Israel Experience trip.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners we were able to bring 47 young millennial

pastors to Israel. In January we brought a group of key leaders from America and in October

we brought some of the most significant key millennial leaders in Brazil. The impact of this

trip cannot be overstated, both in its significance for Israel, America and for Brazil. The

combined social media reach alone of the pastors on these trips were 5 million followers.

This trip was a strategic moment to allow these major influencers of the next generation to

get to see first-hand what Israel was all about. The trip not only changed their perspective

about Israel, but bonded these leaders together in a profound way. As Bishop Robert taught

them throughout the journey, they began to understand why this land was so important for

Christians today. Each day they would post what they were learning to their social media,

educating tens of thousands more. The pastors’ group had a chance to meet and interact with

government leaders, Jewish religious leaders, and Palestinian Christians. They also visited the

Eagles’ Wings Abraham’s Bread Feeding Center that is caring for those in need in the land.

Many are already planning to return to Israel with their own congregations.

Following the successful Brazil Millennial leaders trip, doors have opened for Eagles’ Wings

to have an ongoing presence in Brazil. In partnership with Dunamis movement, Eagles’

Wings is now working with over eight different movements in the nation of Brazil

representing over 50,000 Christians. Bishop Robert and the Eagles’ Wings team have been

invited to speak at eight key churches in Brazil, focusing on the topic of why Christians should

stand with Israel. We are also working with several movements in the nation to bring as many

as 1,000 Brazilian Christians to Israel in 2019.

In addition Bishop Robert’s books Cry of Mordecai and the Watchmen on the Wall manual are

being printed in Portuguese for widespread distribution across Brazil.

This summer saw our impact in Europe

increase in dramatic ways as Bishop Robert

was invited on a ministry tour, speaking and

leading worship throughout Germany and

the Czech Republic. Bishop Robert and the

team ministered In Karlsruhe, Germany with

dear friends Pastor Daniel and Isolde Mueller

who pastor one of the largest Charismatic

congregations in the nation. Then Bishop

ministered at Die Tabue, a vibrant congregation

in Heidelberg, Germany.

From there he traveled to Prague in the

Czech Republic where Bishop spoke at the

national auditorium on praying for Israel

as Watchmen on the Wall. Following that

conference, thanks to our generous partners,

Bishop’s book No We Can’t was printed in

the Czech language and given personally

to every member of the Czech parliament

at a beautiful ceremony in the government

palace. Just weeks after this event Czech

President Milos Zeman visited the Knesset

to announce that the Czech government

was considering moving their embassy

to Jerusalem.

Bishop Robert and the Eagles’ Wings team ministered in over 20 cities and regions throughout

the United States in 2018. Through dynamic teaching and powerful worship over 500,000

people were ministered to and equipped to pray for and stand with Israel.

Our presence in the Los Angeles area through the Israel Christian Nexus saw an increased

impact in both the Jewish and Christian communities. The New York City area continued to

be a key region for this growing movement.

Through Celebrate Israel events in key cities, conferences, and guest ministry with leading

churches across the country this global movement continued to grow in its scope and impact.

A sea of hundreds of waving blue and white Israeli flags filled church after church this year as

the songs of Zion filled the air at Eagles’ Wings hosted Celebrate Israel events in Alabama, Ohio,

Connecticut, and Los Angeles. In the wake of events such as the tragic Pittsburgh synagogue

shooting these events took on a deeper meaning as a declaration of support and solidarity against

the forces of anti-Semitism. Not only were the many Christian attendees encouraged and inspired

but our Jewish guests shared poignantly of the impact of these events.

In many ways, we are living miracles.” ~ Rabbi Joseph Schonberger of Temple El Emeth, Youngstown, OH

“It was an overwhelming joy at seeing so many blue and white Israeli flags waving throughout the Church; such a joyous and inspiring celebration of Israel.”

~ Rabbi Mitch Hervitz, Temple Sholom, Greenwich, CT

“It’s not often that you will see a Rabbi short of words, but (tonight) I’m a little speechless…this (Celebrate Israel) event could not have come at a better time.”
