Week 2 ●Term 4 ●2018
Hello Vincent Community!
Principal’s report Hello everyone!
This week is Be respected week. This is about
being the good example for friends, class mates and all
students in the school: Students use the High Five to
solve their problems. They are kind and caring. They
have interesting conversations and keep their hands and
feet to themselves. They can answer the 5 Questions for
Students during lessons.
PUPIL FREE DAY: Monday 22 October (next
week). No students attend school on Monday.
Ready-for-Prep-2019: Friday mornings program
starts TOMORROW, 9:00 – 11:00am, in the Prep Block,
room P2 (next to Prep classroom). Parents must come
with their children.
Enrol for Prep 2019: We have vacancies in our
Prep class for next year Spread the word!
Farewell Mr Brenton Moore: Our groundsman,
Mr Moore, has secured a permanent position as
groundsman of Kelso State School. He will stay on for a
few weeks to assist the temporary groundsman before
his last day in a few weeks. Attendance: Last week there were no classes
who achieved satisfactory attendance, so there is no
picture this week of the winning class with Polly Parrot, the
Attendance Trophy. The goal is 90% attendance (half-a-
day off in one week) or better.
Running Club: Mrs Beitzel’s running club is
going very well. Every Thurdsay, students are invited to
jog laps of the oval, training for our carnivals at the start
of next year. Check out the tally poster on the school
noticeboard under C Block.
Year 6 Heatley Secondary College enrolment
assistance: Mrs Adams-Thompson, Deputy Principal at
Heatley Secondary College, attended on Tuesday to
assist parents to enrol their children at Heatley for 2019.
High Five fridge magnets: Are these on your
fridge yet? They were handed out last week with the
newsletter. Use them to talk about how your kids can
solve their own problems using Australia’s anti-bullying
strategies. Why not display the newsletter on the fridge
for our important dates!
Art Club: Our Woolworths Shopping Bag
Competition entries have been sent off. Thanks for all
your efforts Mrs Guy!
