The Opening Ceremony kicked off the event on a high-note with a turnout of 1,000 attendees. ConnecTechAsia was opened by Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information Mr S. Iswaran, which was followed by a morning plenary themed “Digital Business Transformation”. Tech giants such as Alibaba Cloud, Google, Netflix and Telenor provided impactful insights with keynote presentations on AI, Cloud, Industrial IoT, etc. The highly anticipated CXO Panel gathered industry leaders from Singtel, Mediacorp, Eutelsat, CDNetworks and BBC Worldwide which addressed how they are spearheading digital transformation within their organisation.

ConnecTechAsia2018 - Asia’s most comprehensive mega technology event premiered with much excitement from attendees. Comprising 3 focused shows – BroadcastAsia, CommunicAsia and NXTAsia, across 2 venues with a total exhibition area of 67,000sqm, the event presented a great opportunity for the convergence of technologies and industries to almost 40,000 international attendees.

An Enriching and Fulfilling Experience at the showfloor

Beyond technology, attendees also learnt strategic marketing communication skills from Omnicon PR Group, as they shared on engaging clients through new media tools and platforms.

In collaboration with knowledge partner SGTech, the seminar themed ‘Not Just Digitise. Digitalise.’ helped attendees grasp the importance of digitalisation for SMEs through using real-world scenarios.

Visitors were able to experience the future of smart cities by test driving the Hyundai IONIQ electric car, catching OTSAW’s security robot and more.

Attendees got to appreciate the ICT vision for Thailand through new projects and opportunities announced by depa (Digital Economy Promotion Agency), which also invited ideas and networking opportunities.

Led by a guide, participants explored the showfloors through an itinerary of product demonstrations and discovered unexpected innovations!

Partnering with Alibaba Cloud, Blockchain Founders Fund, Hyundai and more, attendees got to expand their knowledge on two of technology’s biggest buzzwords today: AI and Blockchain.

For the 1st time ever, an esports tournament was held at an exhibition! Visitors watched tournaments unfurl before them and the checked out the production requirements in this rapidly emerging industry.

The renaissance of radio technologies never felt more real, as attendees tuned in to new trends on radio broadcasting by Mediacorp, Astro Radio, WorldDAB and more, proving that radio is still as important as before.

Attendees got a grasp of the burgeoning eSports and gaming phenomenon, as experts and key opinion leaders weighed in on the industry’s outlook in the seminar.

It’s a great opportunity to come to an event like this (ConnecTechAsia) where you’ve got the whole community descending on Singapore for 2 or 3 days. You get the chance to see a lot of people, so it’s a great event for AsiaSat.

The newly revamped ProAudioTech Zone created lots of buzz as attendees were exposed to a comprehensive range of audio systems.

The expanded TV Everywhere! Zone continued to attract attendees with interest on the latest non-linear broadcasting solutions.

Connections made; networks establishedAn exclusive breakfast reception was arranged for selected exhibitors and C-level visitors from key broadcasters, telecom operators and enterprises. It created a great opportunity for them to network.

Close to 1,600 meetings were scheduled at ConnecTechAsia via the online business matching programme prior to the event.
