AIMS:Bringing weight down, sculpting the body, reducing cellulite, improving circulation and toning muscles.

AIMS AND BENEFITS OF THIS ACTIVITY
The new seawater pool is housed in a stand-alone facility which is set apart from the Thalassotherapy Centre, and can be accessed directly from the Paseo de La Concha. There is a spacious and warm viewing room, for exclusive use of the children’s companions.
The additional flotation provided by seawater makes children feel safer and enjoy the experience better, thanks to which they learn more quickly. Moreover, seawater has antibiotic properties and stimulates the immune system.
It nourishes, remineralises and tones the body.

• From 4 months to 7 years old (small groups according to level and/or age; for other ages, please ask).

Creating the foundations so that babies and children are able to manage on their own, through psycho-motor stimulation and physical relaxation, in order to improve the functioning of the joints and muscles.
Through our method, we prepare children to safely enjoy water, laying the foundations that will later help them to learn to swim. Our qualified personnel will constantly monitor the activities and write personalised reports.

RULES AND REGULATIONS• The centre has a set of rules and regulations by which all members must abide. Information on these is available at reception. Should there be any breach of these rules and regulations, La Perla reserves the right to refuse admission.

SERVICES INCLUDED• Bathrobe, towel and disposable slippers.
RESERVATIONS• It is advisable to book in advance and arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. In order to confirm your booking, you will be required to give your credit card number.• Timetables for treatments are to be respected. If a client does not attend the appointment or arrives late, treatments which have been missed or cut short must still be paid in full and cannot be postponed to a later date.
CANCELLATIONS• We kindly request members to notify any cancellation as soon as possible.• If the cancellation takes place within 12 hours of the appointment, the session must be paid for. The amount will be charged to the credit card provided.
EXPIRY• All vouchers and tokens expire after three years.
LA PERLA IS A THALASSOTHERAPY AND FITNESS CENTRE. THEREFORE, SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH CONDITION, ASK OUR PERSONNEL BEFORE STARTING AN ACTIVITY.

RESERVATIONS• On weekends and bank holidays, we strongly advise you to book your appointment over the phone, at reception or via the web.• Groups of 20 people or more: to ensure admission to the centre, you should book your appointment in advance, by contacting our Sales Department.
CHILDREN• The minimum age of admission to the circuit is 6 years old.• Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents or carers must take full responsibility for any children they bring to the centre.• Children should not spend longer than one hour in the water, and those under 14 are not allowed to use the saunas, steam baths or jacuzzi.
TIMETABLE - DURATION• The timetable for the Circuit is between 8 am and 9.40 pm.• Your session begins when you enter through the access gate and ends when you leave through it. Excess time will be charged with € 2 for every 30 minutes.• Open every day, except 25th December and 1st January. The centre will be closed for 15 days per year for technical checks.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED• Bathing suit (or bikini), swimming cap and towel; we sell bathing suits and caps and towels are available for hire.• Fabric cap: € 3.00 / Towel hire: €1.20/ Bathrobe hire: € 2.70• Flip-flops may only be used in changing rooms and showers; the Thalasso Fitness Circuit must be done barefoot. If necessary, swimming socks can be used. You can buy them at reception.• We do not accept liability for any loss, theft or damage to belongings which have not been placed in locker.
COMMENTS• Accidents caused by slipping are the responsibility of the customer. To avoid this, please walk carefully, as the floor is wet. If you feel unsafe, use the handrails in the facilities to enter and exit the baths.• La Perla is a centre for relaxation and fitness. Therefore, members are prohibited from making noise, running around the centre or playing in the pools.• The maximum depth in the pools is 1.39 metres; if you are unable to swim, you must notify a member of the centre’s management.• There will be a pool monitor present to help you, should you have any questions or requests.• Members must obey the rules and regulations of the centre. These are displayed in the entrance to the centre.• The centre reserves the right to refuse admission.

La Perla Thalassotherapy Centre is one of the landmarks that still remains in San Sebastian from the city’s Belle Époque. Over a century ago, Queen María Cristina established her summer residence here. Here she would enjoy a dip in the sea in an unbeatable setting, La Concha Bay, enjoying therapeutic effects, relaxation and well-being.
Thus began the history of La Perla, a spa resort which was originally a wooden building and was replaced in 1912 by the new spa resort, which was declared one of the most beautiful in the world by the press of that time. The construction of the spa resort is one of the key milestones in the rejuvenation of the city at the start of the 20th century, when the undisputed pre-eminence it had enjoyed until then was put at risk by the construction of the Magdalena Palace in Santander in 1908, as the summer residence of Alfonso XII.
La Perla del Océano was officially opened on 2 June 1912. The design by the architect Ramón Cortazar included cabins, dance halls, a restaurant, a café and long balconies where you could sit, protected from the sun, and enjoy the spectacle of La Concha Bay.
It was not until 1995 that La Perla Talaso Sport Centre opened its doors, having been converted into a thalassotherapy and sport centre, combining the benefits of the sea with fitness and restoring a magnificent setting.
This iconic building on the beachfront has been battered by the sea throughout its history, making it necessary to renovate the facilities on several occasions. And it was precisely in October 2008, following a complete refurbishment and expansion due to the destructive effects of a storm, that it opened its doors and became one of the best urban thalassotherapy centres. The resort doubled in size and was equipped with modern facilities and a wide variety of thalassotherapy techniques and treatments.
It is now one of the biggest and best urban thalassotherapy centres in Europe, with a central location at the very heart of La Concha Bay. A unique setting, where seawater is used to achieve true relaxation therapy and body toning. A comprehensive wellness centre where you will find the latest technology in physical sports, therapy, relaxation and well-being programmes.
