THANK YOU TOP 2017 EVENT SPONSORS

WORKING TOGETHER:The 2017 Chairman of the Board rolled out a year-long plan of action, Tomorrow’s Alexandria – an initiative to engage business owners, professionals, and citizens in a conversation about our city of tomorrow. We continue our focus on Tomorrow’s Alexandria in 2018 and move the conversations forward by Working Together for the future of our great city. Working Together will engage and celebrate the diversity of our city – its geography, leadership, and business community. All areas of our city will come together to Celebrate Alexandria at the January 18, 2018 Chairman’s Reception. Together we will celebrate the people, places, and things that make Alexandria such a wonderful place to do business. The initiative continues in 2018 by showcasing our vibrant and emerging leaders in a Young Professionals Network. The Chamber will create a path to success for our future city leaders to work together and drive forward a profitable and growing business community. The Chamber will also focus on Building Bridges among our business community that makes our city so robust and lively. Working Together with the City Government, Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, Small Business Development Center, and the Neighborhood Business Associations, we will create a vibrant business hub as the future of our city. It is my pleasure to lead this initiative, and I am looking forward to Working Together with you in 2018!

Your 2018 Chairman of the Board,Virginia Kinneman, Kinneman Insurance

SIGNATURE EVENTS

JANUARYThe 2018 Chairman’s Reception – Celebrating Alexandria aims to be just that - a celebration of the people, places and things that make Alexandria such a wonderful place to do business. It will be a celebration that showcases how we are all working together for Tomorrow’s Alexandria.

MARCHJoin the Alexandria Chamber’s Professional Women’s Network (ACPWN) for a dynamic morning long program designed to provide inspiration and professional development to women at all stages of their careers.

APRILThis awards program is dedicated to honoring the public safety personnel of the Alexandria Fire Department, Police Department, and Sheriff’s Office for heroic acts of valor. During this event our master of ceremonies, a local media commentator, recaps daring events where these brave individuals have protected our city.

JULY40 under 40 is a region-wide awards program, with the aim of recognizing emerging leaders less than 40 years of age. The goal of the program is to highlight the significant, personal impact of successful young professionals across a variety of business sectors, who, over the next few years, will have a significant effect on the advancement of our business community. Through this program, the Chamber hopes to provide a mandate to empower these successful young professionals to raise the caliber of Alexandria’s business sector and the quality of life in the City.

Sponsorship of the tournament will put your name in front of a captive audience of 100+ golfers, in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the normal rush of their business day.

OCTOBERJoin the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce for a celebration of the best in business, honoring a Business Leader of the Year and companies in various categories of competition. This is our equivalent of the Oscars as we roll out the red carpet and share the stories behind the success of Alexandria businesses. Judging is competitive and winning is a tremendous honor.

NOVEMBERDemonstrate your support of the Alexandria veteran community through a sponsorship of the Salute to Veterans event. Recognizing those businesses who serve our heroes, and serve our country and community, the Salute to Veterans program is the premier program honoring those businesses who have gone above and beyond in employing our nation’s heroes. The Distinguished Patriot portion of the event will recognize those in our community who have served their country and continue to serve our community.

DECEMBERBack by popular demand, the Annual Meeting features highlights from the year, including outstanding member awards, and introduction of the new board. This event is a great way to highlight your business while networking with the most active Chamber members.
