LENGTH OF STAY AND DISCHARGE DESTINATION LENGTH OF STAY Length of stay refers to the number of days patients spend, on average in the inpatient rehabilitation center. DISCHARGE DESTINATION Some patients still require continued care at a different facility before returning to home. Most commonly this is due to not having enough assistance available in the home. DURABILITY OF OUTCOMES Patients discharged to home are surveyed three months following their rehabilitation stay to see if they have been able to maintain their function and return to their activities. Thirty surveys were returned with the following results. • 70% indicated they maintained or further improved upon their physical abilities since discharge. • 83% reported they could participate in activities of their choosing outside the home at least once per week. • 84% reported the ability to participate in activities of their choosing within the home. • 73% reported the ability to partially or fully return to their life roles. • 100% indicated they would still recommend our rehabilitation program to friends/family.
