The ministry that God has created SEAPC to

accomplish is best described by the Chinese symbol

“fu” or “blessing.”1. SEAPC is founded by God and is about God, and

2. All things that we do are done under the authority of heaven.

3. Through prayer and obedience to the authority of Christ, blessing or prosperity comes from the Word of the Lord, the mouth of God.

4. Prosperity comes in the form of the fruit grown in the field of the Lord. In this field we work in four platforms: Health, Parenting, Education, and Economic Development. These platforms are held in place by the immovable cornerstones of the field: Evangelism, Church Planting, Discipleship, and Leadership Development.

5. May we always remember that everything which we are called to do must be centered in humility and the incredible gift of salvation given to us through the crucified life of Christ. For without the power of Christ given to our humble hearts nothing would be possible. Today, however, we can live in victory knowing that the war has been won! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!

We want to witness a world where every need of every person is met. Imagine if every nation was focused on meeting every need of every person within it. The dream has been called irrational, immature, impossible, and unimaginable. I believe that this dream is central to the purpose of Jesus Christ and we are charged to take part in realizing its potential on the earth.

As South East Asia Prayer Center continues in its ultimate pursuit of witnessing this vision’s reality in our days, two common truths push us further towards success. First, the resurrection power of Jesus Christ is the only source large enough to embrace the total needs of humanity and second that prayer is the method proven to draw forth agreement among the nations and righteous action between their peoples that would provide the perfect platforms for these needs to be met.

Dr. Dick Eastman, International President of Every Home for Christ — whose platforms for ministry reach and pray with more than 300,000 people daily — said, “One thing is for certain: transforming peoples and nations through a full revelation of Jesus Christ, accomplished by literally reaching with the gospel all of these peoples specifically and individually right where they live, will require a miracle. Of course, only God can perform true miracles. Thus, we need to include the God of miraculous in all of our plans and strategies if we hope to accomplish our objective.”

2018 was a year of breakthrough. New networks on nearly every continent welcomed SEAPC teams to come and pray which led to incredible friendships and opportunities for SEAPC to serve. This year, many nations opened their doors for cooperative international exchange platforms to emerge including an international center for autism in China, a comprehensive international approach to economic development in Cambodia, a groundbreaking tool for shared educational resources throughout ASEAN, and a

multi-national baseline assessment study for parenting models among orphaned or abandoned children. The organization expanded its reach into 22 new nations this year through strategic new relationships formed through prayer. Several key nations such as Bhutan, Haiti, Guatemala, and Japan began receiving support from SEAPC for the first time to meet the needs of the people.

Today SEAPC is actively networking prayer in 122 nations. 28 of those nations are participating daily in meeting the needs of their people through platforms of health, education, parenting and micro-economic development. In 2018 we witnessed unprecedented national and governmental shifts towards righteousness as a direct result of mobilized prayer in Israel, Korea, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and Japan. Even in a year of tremendous growth and breakthrough, we also faced areas of great challenge and setback. This year reminded us of Jesus’ promise that persecution would come. Friends operating in Iran, Vietnam, China, Laos, and India were bound and imprisoned, blocking much needed resource from entering the hands of those they love and serve. In Laos they requested, “Do not pray that persecution will not come but rather that we will have faith to endure when it does.”

As we turn our eyes towards 2019 we see a year full of opportunities and we pray that you will receive this detailed report with joy knowing that your part, no matter how big or small, led us all closer to witnessing our ultimate vision become a reality on the earth.

South East Asia Prayer Center

continues to push forward towards

our ultimate goal of witnessing

a world connected through prayer

that brings Christ-based change

to those in need.

As part of an ever-growing global

Christian community of friends who

believe that lives and nations are

changed through prayer, please

receive this annual report with our

thanksgiving, and know that your

part portrayed through prayer

and expressed in giving has moved

us closer towards our goals and

successfully through one of this

organization’s most amazing years:

“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” – Ephesians 3:20

Thousands of individuals took part in prayer initiatives through SEAPC last year which we believe spiritually plowed the ground and prepared the way for relationships to form and platforms to grow in the nations. We began 2018 by identifying 81 nations where friends or groups of friends were serving active networks of prayer in their nation. An active network means that established communities were setting aside time to meet together to pray for their nation. Many of those prayer networks welcomed short term prayer teams and/or hosted prayer gatherings in 2018 in essence plowing through challenges and division which long locked the people in those communities from growing closer to God and in turn closer towards each other. Larger gatherings like those held in Ho Chi Minh City, Jerusalem, Hong Kong, and Korea led to very deep and exciting new friendships and provided breakthrough for new friends and nations to join in the vision. Other smaller yet acutely strategic prayer gatherings like those in Kashmir, London, Indonesia, and Japan moved communities of prayer in those nations into deeper relationship and agreement on the core values that will bring positive change in the years ahead. By year’s end we had served prayer networks in 122 nations.

Sowing seeds for positive change in nations requires a covenant agreement between friends. That agreement is formed as the Holy Spirit unites a people in common purpose. As we pray, God clearly shows us his purpose. His word then shows us boundary stones needed for relationship. It is God’s word sown into well-prepared soil that will produce a good crop over time. Prayer has prepared the soil well. God’s Word sows seeds that form into healthy friendships. Relationships are eternally secured in Christ as friends agree together on the principles and boundaries found in God’s Word. In 2018, SEAPC supported the printing, distribution, and teaching of God’s Word in various formats across the network of 122 nations that we served. Massive efforts like the Water Drop project in Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia put “seeds” into the hands of 150,000 public school students through a children’s Bible provided by good friends at Every Home for Christ. Other core Bible-based teachings like Intercessory Worship, Chase the Lion, The Attack Lambs, Bridges, A Faith to Die For, Young Lions, The Circle Maker, Where Have the Children Gone?, and many more were used by networks to train thousands of emerging leaders in the other nations we serve including India, China, Mexico, Iran, and Mongolia.

When right relationship is formed in Christ through the process of plowing in prayer and sowing in God’s word, the heartbreak of lost human, material, and spiritual resources in missions dramatically decreases. We witnessed this breakthrough most in 2018. Make no mistake, God is in control of all of these resources. He owns it all. It is a great privilege and responsibility for this ministry to be positioned to channel those resources into the hands of friends around the world meeting the health, educational, parental, and economic needs of the people. We believe that these resources water the relationships that God has brought to us. Prayer opens the door to friendship, God’s Word molds those friendships into position, and the resources He then provides bring water to pull forth the miraculous provision the nations need to live abundantly in Him. In simpler words: friendships formed in Christ will meet the needs around them.

By the end of 2018, 18 of the 122 nations that we serve had reached a point where healthy resource exchange platforms could take place. Those exchanges included nationwide programs like China CARE, a government-endorsed program for training trainers to work with children living

with autism, to smaller more focused initiatives like a center for blind children in Kashmir whose first programs are serving kids who lost their eyesight after being swept into Kashmir’s violent street wars, or Charity Children’s Home in Myanmar that takes the nation’s poorest orphaned or abandoned kids and secures a future and hope for them.

It does not take long for good soil — with great seed and clean water — to produce a good harvest. We define a good harvest in missions by studying the crop that comes forth. In 2018, government leaders in Cambodia, Myanmar, India, China, and the United States made statements of faith in Jesus Christ as a direct result of answered prayers they had witnessed from SEAPC platforms within their nations. Their statements give witness to the power of prayer and to nations changing but more so than their statements, the measured successful harvest is determined by the multiplication of healthy friendships formed in Jesus and the ability of those nations to begin to pray for others and send resources out from within. It was a breakthrough year as four new nations moved into harvest and began sending their resources out to other nations through SEAPC for the very first time.

By year’s end we had served prayer networks in 122 nations.

We began 2018 by identifying 81 nations

where friends or groups of friends were serving active

networks of prayer in their nation.

educationThe education platform brings the love of Jesus into the world by helping

to break the poverty cycle through educating both children and adults, thereby providing opportunities for a hope-filled future.

Acts Bible CollegeTo have a Bible seminary alongside a children’s home is like having a weapons-making factory in war. It is a meaningful and powerful strategy in the extension of the kingdom of God. It has been a great place to equip many of the older kids at the home who desire to go and extend God’s kingdom in Myanmar. Many kids from the children’s home have become missionaries, Bible school teachers, and worship leaders. This generating of Kingdom-builders won’t stop as long as Acts Bible College exists.

BC Arise Water DropThe Water Drop English Program, a curriculum based on the children’s Bible My Precious Book, officially opened in April 2018, serving over 600 public school teachers in Banteay Meanchey Province in Cambodia. The goal of this program is to provide free Bible-based English lessons to primary school teachers in the province, rippling out to their schools and communities. It is one facet of Banteay Meanchey Arise, a mission dedicated to improving the education in a province with a 50 percent dropout rate by 8th grade and a 99 percent Buddhist population. With a YouTube channel, vocabulary apps, workbooks, and more, our Cambodian missionary team members serve in ten locations across the province to minister to these teachers, planting the seeds of the gospel along with the basic building blocks of English education. We praise God for this open door, and continue to pray for the teachers’ hearts to be moved, motivated, and completely transformed.

BC Arise Tech CentersBanteay Meanchey Arise’s technical training centers experienced a year of unprecedented growth. Thanks to the prayers and financial support of many individuals, we celebrated the completion of construction for three centers in Mongkolborey, Phnom Srok, and Thmor Pouk districts respectively. Additionally, three new long-term team members joined the Banteay Meanchey Arise team, each of whom are playing an integral role in the growth and development of training teachers. Because of these training centers and the men and women who are making them a reality, souls have been saved and lives have been impacted and changed among the Khmer people! In Cambodia, there are 25 provinces. Each province is divided into

municipalities and districts. Ms. Dane Chamroeun is one of the nine superintendents in her province, and she is the only one who is female. She is responsible for 49 public schools and a total of 735 teachers.

She is excited about the Water Drop program, because of the opportunity it presents for more kids to learn English. We celebrate Dane and her heart for the children and future of Cambodia. It is apparent that the favor of God is on her life and it is exciting to imagine the future of education in Banteay Meanchey with her influence. We are thankful to work under her leadership.

ChinaThe Touching Hearts Child Care home is there to serve infants and toddlers born in the Tibet Autonomous Region who are suffering from high altitude sickness and other illnesses which cause them to not grow properly or even die. They are brought down to a home at a lower altitude and given nutritious food to make them strong so that they can return to their families. 2018 was a very good year for the children. Four children were able to return to their families and a very young infant who was brought to the home and is now doing well. A variety of Tibetan people came to the home to share culture and language with the children so that they keep in touch with their heritage.

Cambodia2018 was an eventful year in Cambodia. We saw the construction of additional buildings and some renovations at several homes. Three homes had transitions in house parents. Staff salaries increased and every home was assessed for structural and safety conditions to see what may need to be addressed. The highlight of the year was, of course, Kids Camp. Every child and staff member of NHO, along with approximately 100 volunteers from several churches around the world, gathered together on the beach in Sihanoukville for this biennial event. It’s three days of worshipping God, fellowship with each other, good food, and lots of fun. There were over 700 people at this event and approximately 80 children were baptized.

MyanmarIt was a year of preparation and outreach at Acts Myanmar Mission, which includes Charity Children’s Home. They added a third floor to the Acts Bible College building so that they are able to remove some other buildings to make room for the future technical school to be used by both kids from the home and community. The kids at the home participated in outreaches to share Jesus with the community. The largest outreach took place in November with approximately 1,000 people attending. A bi-lingual Bible story book is on its third printing in Myanmar and the kids have been sharing it at their schools and in the community. We began 2018 with over 70 children available for sponsorship. At the end of the year, because of generous sponsors, there were less than 10.

NepalFour young women successfully transitioned from living at Mendies Haven to living on their own in 2018. Those remaining at the home were blessed with a variety of events; going to movies and dinner for their birthdays, swimming outings, picnics, an Olympic-style event held at the home, Christmas celebrations, and the annual Mendies Haven reunion which is held on December 26.

parentingThe parenting platform brings the love of Jesus into the world by providing safe, loving homes for children who would otherwise be affected by trafficking, abuse,

parentlessness, abandonment, neglect, and poverty.

God has watched over Noami her entire life. She arrived at the children’s home in Myanmar when she was just around four years old, abandoned at a railroad station. No one knows who her parents are, her actual birthday, or where she originally came from.

When she speaks of her life, she says, “My life would be miserable if I was not picked up in railway station by someone who brought me in to the children’s home. My life has been transformed into a better way because of these Godly people (pastors, caregivers, sponsors, and friends at the home) and now I am starting to learn how to depend on my own two feet. Most of all, I thank God for leading me into His presence.”

John Bishop Memorial Hospital Nursing SchoolFor 52 years, John Bishop Memorial Hospital in Kashmir, India, has housed a school of nursing. Currently, 83 young women are enrolled, all of whom are Muslim. In addition to the medical curriculum, they attend daily Christian devotions and Sunday worship services and receive their education from Christian teachers and administrators. In 2018, a five-member SEAPC medical team visited Kashmir, John Bishop Memorial Hospital, and the nursing school. They taught at the school and treated 700 patients, with the student nurses helping with triage and translation. True breakthrough is happening as the students are immersed in Jesus on a daily basis. Several are in a questioning and seeking phase that the Holy Spirit can bring to completion.

Medical Missions In 2018, the SEAPC medical team traveled to Kashmir, India and Oaxaca, Mexico to provide basic medical care to the least and the lost. Their primary focus, however, is always to show Jesus Christ to those served and to bring spiritual breakthrough. There were physical healings through prayer. The deaf were able to hear. Impaired joints worked once again. Dim vision became clear. Two young men in prison for murder repented and accepted Jesus. A mother selling coconuts along the roadside heard the message of salvation and believed. Mechanics and a driver fixing a van listened to the Word and turned their lives to the Lord.

KashmirKashmir School and Training Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired had a few delays in 2018, with local transition in terms of leadership and land. But we are still full steam ahead and walking in faith for the development of the school. Our partnerships with Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children as well as Dr. Qureshi and our local partners in the Kashmir Valley are thriving. We are sharing the vision and raising the needed funds. The vision is to develop a state-of-the-art high-tech school for the blind and visually impaired. This school will teach life skills and technology to the blind and visually impaired people of the Kashmir Valley in North India. Our next steps are to rent a space to start the school, recruit and train the staff, and to equip the school with the best technology for the teaching of the blind.

SEAPC CARE2018 was a wonderful year for SEAPC CARE. We witnessed the unity of purpose through honest communication between the various friends who make SEAPC CARE a reality. As a result, we saw many different breakthroughs take place. These included a team from the United States leading an Applied Behavior Analysis training for 32 bright young Chinese teachers; prayer walking trips through Beijing and Haiku; meeting and praying with parents of children with autism to offer support and encouragement; and divine appointments to share the Gospel with families of children with autism. We look forward to what the upcoming year holds, as the SEAPC CARE team develops training schedules and trips for 2019 and beyond.

healthcareThe healthcare platform brings the love of Jesus into the world by acting as

His hands to those who need healing, both spiritually and physically. For many, this is the first Christian witness they have ever experienced.

Becoming a nurse was her childhood dream. Mercy (name changed to protect identity) followed this dream straight to college where she came to know Jesus. By the Lord’s leading, Mercy completed college and become a nursing tutor in Kashmir. Today, she is a first aid and microbiology teacher at John Bishop Memorial Hospital for 83 nursing students eager to learn. SEAPC has partnered with JBMH in order to help build a nurse training center.

Please pray for Mercy and her family. Life in Kashmir is challenging. Mercy specifically would like for everyone to “pray for community, pray for protection, pray that their family will remain close to God, and pray for people to encounter God through them.”

Garden of HopeFive students graduated from the Garden of Hope in 2018, and returned to their people groups with business grants and a knowledge of sustainable and healthy agriculture, local and international trade, English, worship, and the Bible. With the next graduation ceremony taking place in 2020, we are praying and believing that this current class of 10 students at the Garden of Hope will be influential in making Jesus’ name known across Laos. After completing another major phase of its construction early in the year, the Garden of Hope began to host church services onsite in 2018 and many young people from the community have come to believe in Jesus after attending these worship services.

GBFFFGeppert Brothers Fly Fishing Foundation saw significant breakthrough in 2018. The GBFFF team in Cambodia came into its own, and by the end of the year the talented fly tyers were producing 20,000 flies per month! We launched distribution to new companies, such as Bitterroot River Fly Company in Montana — a welcome addition to our list of buyers, as we work to match our sales with the team’s impressive level of production. God gave the team the idea to make monthly subscription boxes available, and in late 2018 this new endeavor was launched. A gift of $20/month provides an assortment of flies for subscribers, while helping us to cover our costs as we grow.

Essential OilsThe essential oils project in Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia is moving forward after testing and equipment selection. In 2018, we partnered with businesses to form a team around the project, and also received the funding necessary to purchase distillation equipment and establish our first production facility. As the project progresses, we will begin working with local farmers to grow the crops for production. Lemongrass is an excellent crop to start with, because it has numerous uses, many of which are very marketable in Cambodia. This project will create new jobs in production, packaging, marketing, sales, and management for hundreds of Cambodians — and open new doors for the gospel to spread in Cambodia.

micro-economic developmentThe micro-economic development platform brings the love of Jesus into the world by giving

individuals the opportunity to find confidence through the work they do with their own hands (Galatians 6:4), and by helping to create sustainable industries for generations to come.

In a small fly tying workshop in Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia, Channa is one of eight employees. While tying flies five days a week, he listens to classical music. He enjoys working at GBFFF because it’s near his house, the workstation has air conditioning, and he is able to attend university as a freshmen studying manage-ment. When he graduates, it is his goal to open a business.

GBFFF has made it possible for employees like Channa to further their education, as attending university is out of reach for many people in this village. Each month, up to 10,000 flies are made with care for a pastime that is completely foreign to these locals. This unusual job, however, is empowering its employees to dream.

I love the word “stewardship.” To be a good steward is to take care of what has been entrusted to you. I love the word because embedded in its meaning is a confession that we are not owners, but merely caregivers, of God’s gifts to us.

In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the talents; he says to those who have been good stewards the words we all long to hear one day, “Well done my good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.”

I grew up on a farm and still interact with farmers on a daily basis. One thing all successful farmers learn quickly is the value of being a good steward. If you take care of the soil, it will take care of you.

It is the same with relationships. I tell my children, if you want more friends, work on fostering your current relationships and you will get more friends. If you want more money, take care of what you have and it will grow. We will be rewarded for how well we steward what we have been given. It’s a Kingdom principle.

I have known SEAPC for a very long time. I have seen the plowing, the sowing, the cultivating, and now the harvest. Jesus doesn’t say, “You have been faithful, now relax and put your feet up.” No, he says, “I will put you in charge of many things.” It’s always growing; always expanding. That’s why I am so excited about the future of SEAPC; we have assurance that the best is yet to come.
