GradingThe subjects of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Chinese are taught and internally assessed according to the same standards of the CAIE IGCSE or A-Level course. The course grade for these subjects are calculated using 80% from internal examinations, using the same thresholds as the CAIE examinations, with the remaining 20% from homework, class participation and effort. In all courses, student progress is internally assessed each semester using pre-established standards-based performance levels. This includes traditional tests as well as assessments of group tasks, presentations, projects and other skills.

Enrichment courses like Physical Education, Drama and Art are graded based on an internal grade point average using a 4.0 scale.

NKCS does not rank our students. Overall grade point average is calculated using a 4.0 scale.
