2019 GERMAN THEATER Summer Camp - Takoma Park An Exploration of time, based on „Momo“ Ages: 7 to 15, max. 15 participants When: July 1 – 12 (one week enrollment possible), 9:30am-4pm Where: Dance Exchange, 7117 Maple Ave., Takoma Park, MD, 20912 $700 (2 weeks); $325 (1st week only, off on 7/4); $395 (2nd week) In this German immersion theater camp, participants will work with professional drama and music educators (German native-speakers) to explore time - how we spend it, how we feel when we have it or when we don’t have it. Based on ideas of Michael Ende’s novel „Momo“, children will be immersed in the German language while participating in movement, acting games, singing and drumming, writing and interviewing each other. German native or heritage speakers will be fully immersed in German; a camp counselor will work as a language bridge between German and English for learners of German who need assistance.
