2019 IWBA Western National Show Rules

1. Entries must be postmarked NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 10, 2019. Entries submitted without proper fees and test certificates will be ignored. No late fees accepted. Entries postmarked after September 10, 2019 will be returned. No telephone entries or mailed shipment of birds accepted.

2. ALL ENTRIES must be accompanied by a valid negative pullorum/typhoid test administered within 90 days of the show, or an NPIP certificate. All entries must meet all Minnesota regulations for exhibition. A premises ID is required on all Wisconsin entries. All birds entered must have been owned by the exhibitor for at least 30 days prior to the show date.

3. Entry fees are $4.00 per bird for ALL exhibitors. There is NO additional double coop charge for male Muscovy ducks. All other double coops are an additional $2.00 per bird.

4. Mail entries, fees, and test papers to IWBA, c/o Val Barden, 9419 Damrau Rd., Amherst, WI 54406. Checks or money orders only, payable to IWBA. Full payment of fees must accompany entries. Entry confirmation will be sent by email, or please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with entries. No PayPal payments accepted.

5. Entry fees are non-refundable. Substitutions may only be made within the same class, color, age and sex as the original entry. Only entries made in error by show staff will be changed.

6. Coop-in will begin Friday, October 11 at 12:00 p.m. (noon), until 10:00 p.m., and will resume Saturday, October 12 at 7:00 a.m. until judging begins at 9:00 a.m. Please register at the show table prior to cooping in your birds. Judging will commence promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019.

7. Interference with judging will not be allowed. Appropriate sanctions will be levied by show officials on violators. Exhibitors and visitors are to keep out of the aisles where the judges are working. For sale signs may be posted on the show coops only after the judging is completed. Only birds entered may be cooped in the show cages.

8. Water and water cups will be provided. Pending donations, some feed will be available. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their own birds.

9. The IWBA, its members and officers, will not be responsible for any loss, injury, or illness of birds brought to this show. Reasonable precautions will be taken to protect the exhibits, but owners will be responsible for their own birds.

10. Any birds showing symptoms of a suspected communicable disease or external parasites will be removed from the exhibit halls and the entry fees forfeited.

11. The IWBA will not be responsible for awards offered by breed clubs, the APA, and the ABA, who may be sponsoring meets at this show.

12. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the fairgrounds per the Brown County Fair Board regulations.

13. Matters of dispute will be referred to the show committee whose decisions will be final. Unless otherwise noted, the APA and ABA rules will govern the show.

14. No one is allowed to handle the entries or open cage doors except by express permission of the owner(s) or the judge(s). All entries are to remain cooped until after the awards. Cooping out prior to release will result in forfeiture of placings and awards.

15. Failure to recognize any or all rules will exclude entry and any or all awards will be forfeited.

16. In order for a breed class to qualify for payback, there must be a minimum of two exhibitors and six entries in the class. This applies to both the open and junior shows.

Via US-169: Take MN-5 W to US-169. Travel south on US-169 67.0 miles to MN-99 W in St. Peter. Take MN-99W to Nicollet Township, then merge onto US-14W. In New Ulm, take S. Broadway St. to N. State St. to the Brown County Fairgrouds. Via US-212: Take MN-5 W and keep left to mergo onto I-494 W/MN-5 W. Keep left, then merge onto US-212 W. Continue on US-212 W to MN-15 S in Sumter Township. Turn left onto MN-15 S to US-14 E to New Ulm.

Via I35 E S & US-169 S:

The IWBA 2019 All-Waterfowl Show is sanctioned by the IWBA, the American Poultry Association, and the American Bantam Association. It is also the national meet for the National Call Breeders of America Club. Judges: Bryan Shelton, James Konecny, and Steven Blash The IWBA offers a 50/50 payback on all qualifying open and junior classes. Don Roscoe offers an additional award of $20 for each Champion Display and $10 for each Reserve Champion Display in all weight classes in the open division. Special Prizes are offered by the American Poultry Association, Inc. to associate members to be awarded to exhibitors of their show who are members of the A.P.A. The A.P.A. is responsible for these awards.
