We’re delighted that Kyra has been selected as one of
Waitrose’s (Foss Island) chosen charities for January 2019 – what
a way to start the New Year!
When you make a purchase at Waitrose they will hand you a
green disc and you have a choice of three boxes by the exits
into which you insert the disc to vote for your chosen charity.
The more discs that are in the Kyra box then the greater our
share of the donation.
Encourage your friends and family to do it too!!! Even if you are just buying a bottle
of milk or a bag of spuds or whatever… get your disc and put in the Kyra box! Every
token will mean more funds to support our work.
This opportunity only exists for the month of January
Kyra will celebrate the only way we know how – lots of interesting
events, lots of activities and an opportunity to meet with other women
On Friday 8th March, Kyra will be opening for a day full of fun,
opportunities and sharing. More details to follow

CALLING ALL MEMBERS:
At Kyra, we want to do the best we can
for our members and make sure what
we offer meets your needs. To do this
we need to hear from you! During the month of October volunteers will
be distributing questionnaires where you can tell us we can best do to
meet your needs - please be a specific as possible. Of course, we have
certain restrictions in terms of space, funding and personnel, but we
want to do our best to give all our members the services they need.
If you would like to talk to a volunteer while filling in the questionnaire,
please let one of them know. They will be more than happy to chat
things through with you.
Are you new to Kyra?
We open on the first and third Monday of the month to welcome new
members to Kyra. This will give you a chance to have a look around,
chat with a volunteer and identify how best we could support you. We
encourage new members to take advantage of this opportunity as we
cannot guarantee having a volunteer free at other times.
January dates: 7th and 21st – 1pm to 2.30
This is a great opportunity for new members to visit Kyra when it is
