READING (and writing) IS MY SUPER POWER!

In the Week 8 issue of the Pigeon Post, we accidentally made an error regarding the award that Alexia K won…

Alexia won the Children’s Book Council of Australia writing competition, facilitated by the Inner West Council, during Book Week!

Congratulations, again, Alexia for this fantastic achievement!

Friends of Balmain Library Writing Competition

Since 2010, Friends of Balmain Library (FOBL) have run a writing competition, open to students from public schools in the Balmain area, and Balmain Secondary College.

The focus for this year’s competition was story writing. Students had the option of three story starters, to compose their own short story of no more than 800 words.

A big congratulations to the following students for being recognised for their story submissions!
