Kevendys Travel celebrates 50 years in the Industry On the 1st July 1969, Rayleigh Roadways was formed by Wendy’sgrandfather, Mr Norman Read. It was passed a few year’s later toWendy’s mother and father and eventually to Wendy & Kevin. KNOLE PARK & HOUSENestled in a medieval 1000 acre deer park, Knole isvast, complex and full of hidden treasures. Originally anarchbishop’s palace, the house passed through royalhands to the Sackville family – Knole’s inhabitants from1603 to today. Inside the showrooms, art lovers will findReynolds, Gainsborough and Van Dyck to admire.Textiles enthusiasts can marvel at the seventeenthcentury tapestries and furniture that make the collectioninternationally significant. Unchanged since medievaltimes the park remains home to the same deer herd.The current herd of over 500 deer are descendants ofthose hunted by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. A selectionof hot and cold lunches, snacks, cakes and drinks areavailable in the newly refurbished Brewhouse Café.Please note that Knole has been under-going long-termrefurbishment of many of the showrooms, however atthe time of going to press it is planned that the majorityof these will be open for 2019. We will hold places for youwithout obligation for a period of 7 days.Please note that provisional bookings will becancelled automatically if a deposit is notmade to secure the booking within thistime.

Confirmation of Booking In order toconfirm your booking, we require eitherpayment in full or a £5.00 per person non-refundable deposit with the full paymentdue 2 weeks prior to the departure date.Once payment is received (either in full orpart) we will send your excursion ticketwhich confirms receipt of payment, numberand location of seats booked and pick uptimes. Please note that we do not send outreminders for balances that are due andthese dates are clearly noted on yourexcursion ticket.

Theatre Tickets In respect of theatrebookings only, payment is required in full atthe time of booking. Should you wish tocancel any theatre booking with us, youmay do so but please note that any refundswill only be made if we are able to re-sellthe tickets on your behalf.

Child Fares Child fares apply to allchildren between 3 and 15 years inclusive.

Methods of Payment All normalmethods of payment, including cash, arepossible at our office or by post with acheque. All cheques should be made out toKevendys Travel. Please note there is a 2%charge for payments made by credit card.

Group Bookings If you book 20 placesaltogether on a day trip one goes free.

Cancellation By the CompanyShould circumstances arise where, we areforced to cancel any excursion, all moniespaid by passengers for that particularexcursion will be refunded in full. Followingthat, the company shall be exempt from anyfurther liability.

By the Passenger You may cancel yourbooking at any time prior to departuresubject to the following conditions:

In the event of a customer cancelling abooking more than 14 days prior todeparture, a full refund will be made (lessthe deposit). The exception to this rule istheatre tickets and any admission tickets forwhich a refund will only be made if thetickets can be resold on your behalf. In theevent of a customer cancelling a bookingless than 14 days prior to departure, arefund will only be given if, tickets can beresold and will be subject to a £2administration fee.

Alterations The company reserves theright to alter excursions or prices, the size,seating plan and specification of the vehicleused or to cancel any excursion listed in thebrochure. We also reserve the right to alterroutes, timings or stopping places. All datesand times are correct at the time of printing,but may be liable to change due tocircumstances beyond our control.

Admission Admission charges areincluded in all prices unless otherwisestated.

Boarding Information The companyrequires all passengers to arrive 5 minutesbefore the time stated on their excursionticket, as we cannot accept any liability forpassengers arriving after the stated coachdeparture time.

Seat Allocation All seats must be pre-booked and are sold on a first come firstserved basis. We allocate seat numbers onour excursions which are honored whereverpossible. However, we reserve the right tochange seat numbers should circumstancesdeem it necessary.

Departure Times Departure andrefreshment stop times will be advised bythe Escort/Driver and passengers arerequested to adhere to these times in orderto comply with regulations governingdriver’s hours.

Breakdowns & Delays The companygives its advice on journey times but doesnot guarantee the completion of any journeyat a specific time and will not be liable forloss or inconvenience caused bybreakdown, other delay or any other causebeyond the control of the company.

Property The company will not acceptliability for any damage to or loss ofproperty belonging to any passenger left inthe vehicle. All articles of lost propertyrecovered from a vehicle will be held at theoffice for a period of four months.

Continental Travel Passports areessential for all continental excursions toECC countries shown within this brochure.Citizens of non EC countries should ensurethat they have the necessary visa to enterall countries visited.

Data Protection Act 1984 To complywith the Data Protection Act 1984, we mustinform you that your name and address isheld on our computerised mailing list andbooking system that is used exclusively byKevendys Travel, and will not be given toany other persons outside of the company.Should you wish to be removed from ourbooking system, please notify us in writing.

DDA Our coaches are not able to carrypassengers in wheelchairs, but providedthat the coach can be accessed, any foldingwheelchairs may be placed in the luggagehold. If a seat with greater leg room isrequired or an assistance dog isaccompanying a passenger please mentionthis at the time of booking.

Seatbelt Legislation On the 18thSeptember 2006 it became law that allpassengers must now wear seatbelts.Passengers may be fined if stopped by thepolice and found not to be wearing theirseatbelts.

Pick Up Points These maybe subject to atransfer to bring you to join the coach at thelast pick up point. We do this to minimizethe amount of pick up points. Please notethat the transfer maybe a Coach, Minibus orTaxi. We reserve the right to use a transfervehicle at any pick up point, should it benecessary.
