SOCIAL JUSTICE CORNER “Osama Bin Laden—as everyone knows—has had the gravest responsibility for spreading hatred and division among people, causing the deaths of countless people, and exploiting religion for this purpose. Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibility of everyone before God and man, and hopes and pledges that every event is not an opportunity for a further growth of hatred, but of peace.”—the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Fr. Federico Lombardi, issued on the morning of the death of Osama Bin Laden CONGRATULATIONS CANDIDATES AND CATECHUMENS AND WELCOME We urge you to say hello to our recently baptized and confirmed friends. HOST FAMILY FOR A CHINESE TEENAGER Bob (Zaibao Li) is the only son of Anzhen Li and is 15. He has gained admission to Peoria Notre Dame for the 2011-12 school year. It is necessary that a suitable host family be found to provide him with room, board and moral guidance. He will finish his freshman year at Dunlap soon with excellent grades. His father is a Sales and Marketing Manager with CAT and must return with the family to China in July. The family has decided that it would be best for Bob to remain in the United States and receive a Catholic education. Mr. Li will discuss and compensate the host family for all expenses.
