WORSHIP THEME: Get settled, grab your beverage, and invite others to join you for today’s worship experience. Our hymns and special music with video lyrics, prayers, and message from Pastor Kevin will energize your spirit! Get ready for some life-gardening tips from Jesus. Think about this: our assessments and assumptions are often completely wrong and when we act on them, they are often utterly destructive to the entire ecosystem and will alienate us from one another and at worst kill each other. This week, let’s agree to stop pulling weeds and enjoy planting seeds that will grow and nurture others. GARDEN PHOTO OP: How does your garden grow? Share a photo of your indoor or outdoor gardens. What types of fruits, vegetables, or herbs have you grown during the Pandemic? Post your photos on Facebook, and tag coldspringchurch, send via Facebook Messenger, or email. WORSHIP YOUR WAY! Lines in bold can be spoken aloud. For music, feel free to sing along, hum. or clap! Or, just read the lyrics! If you’re watching live, remember to use the emojis and share comments to express how you’re feelings and responding to God! COUNTDOWN TO WORSHIP VIDEO: (01, 02) WELCOME: REV. MUSIC (VIDEO LYRICS): WE PLOUGH THE FIELDS AND SCATTER (05)

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION: Loving God, as we hear your word proclaimed, keep our hearts and minds open to the Good News as we learn, grow, and serve. AMEN. MESSAGE FOR KIDS:

GOSPEL LESSON: MATTHEW 13:24-30 (NIV) Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’“‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’“‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”MESSAGE— PLANT SEEDS! STOP PULLING WEEDS. REV. DR. KEVIN YOHO, TRANSFORMATION PASTOR

CALL TO RECONCILIATION: God loves you. God sees you. Nothing separates you from God’s love. In a spirit of gratitude and honesty, let us say together:

PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS: Good morning God, our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. Forgive us for hurting or neglecting others, missing opportunities to live like Jesus. When we waver, give us courage. When we doubt, give us strength. When we refuse, realign us. When we forget, remind us. When we ourselves cry out, send your tenderness in another. When we hear the cries of others, turn us toward them. When we want to hide, draw us out. When we go out, let us plant seeds of hope, welcoming all, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

SILENT REFLECTION (07)

HEAR THE WORDS OF ASSURANCE: In the name of Jesus Christ, God forgives us to live the abundant life and show real love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…the fruit of the Spirit! Thanks be to God, we are forgiven! AMEN.

MUSIC: THE GLORIA (08)

OLD TESTAMENT READING: ISAIAH 44:6-8 (MSG) God, King of Israel,    your Redeemer, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, says:“I’m first, I’m last, and everything in between.    I’m the only God there is.Who compares with me?    Speak up. See if you measure up.From the beginning, who else has always announced what’s coming?    So what is coming next? Anybody want to venture a try?Don’t be afraid, and don’t worry:    Haven’t I always kept you informed, told you what was going on?You’re my eyewitnesses:    Have you ever come across a God, a real God, other than me?    There’s no Rock like me that I know of.”

NEW TESTAMENT READING: ROMANS 8:19-25, (NIV) For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
