As we look towards the next season, we as gym owners feel it is our duty to bring new initiatives to our families to help reduce costs while maintaining the high standards we have set in the last 25 years. We are aware that everyone is experiencing a “NEW NORMAL” and we want to make sure we do what we can to keep our Elite Cheer family together. We have implemented several ways to reduce costs for our clients this upcoming season, designated as “COVID Relief.” By reducing incidentals, designating select merchandise as optional vs mandatory, and passing along temporary reduced vendor costs, clients will see a saving of anywhere between $400-$700 along with reduced competition budgets. We are excited to continue with you into our 25th season! COVID-19 SCHEDULE CHANGES Currently we have two plans in place for placements given the uncertainty of when Elite Cheer will be able to open:
1. OPEN by May 15, if it is announced that Elite Cheer is able to be open, then we will follow the current try out schedule starting May 17 and follow the same placement process.
2. CLOSED on May 15, if the state mandates we remain closed, then on May 16th teams will be chosen by Elite Coaches & Owners based on our knowledge of what current athletes have shown.
• If you have not been a member on Elite Cheer teams, please contact Lance as soon as possible to make arrangements for placements via video/or appointment. [email protected] better to have these done prior to May 15th
• PRELIMINARY Team Announcements May 17 by 7pm • Following announcements if an athlete/parent would like coaches to relook at the team
placement, you can schedule a “Call Back” via Sign Up Genius starting Fri May 22 to discuss and/or come into the gym. Call backs will only be May 26-29.
• FINAL Team Announcements May 31, 7pm, follow position acceptance within 24 hrs • Contract signing will remain June 1-2-3, Practices will begin June 3 following guidelines
***VERY IMPORTANT THAT ATHLETES ARE REGISTERED ASAP PRIOR TO MAY 15! ONLY REGISTERED ATHLETES WILL BE PLACED ON TEAMS***

WHICH PLACEMENT TO ATTEND Returning athletes need to attend the level of their previous 2019-20 team. Athletes new to the program, please attend session based on tumbling level (see Reference charts). OUR PHILOSOPHY ON CREATING SUCCESSFUL TEAMS We have always and will continue to coach athletes to the best of their ability independent of the level of team they are on while striving to build the most successful teams. In our sport, scores are essentially based on two elements: the “Difficulty” that is incorporated within the routine and the “Technique”– how well in which the team executes the skills. We strive for success by building each team so that there is a high percentage of athletes able to execute ELITE LEVEL skills for that level with EXCELLENT technique as well as the max age for the level. EXECUTION of a skill is defined as being able to perform the skill without hesitation while under aerobic stress (during the routine). There will however always be exceptions in which a team may need an athlete who falls outside of these parameters and is placed on a team for a specific skill set. This year we are incorporating more CROSS-OVER opportunities where athletes can cross up or down a level to perform perfected skills on one team and strive to grow skills on another. Consideration when building teams:
• Team type: REGIONAL/NATIONAL/ELITE • Age grid (maximizing age limit) • “Execution of skills” - skills that can be performed on blue without hesitation and under aerobic stress • Tumbling • Stunt Ability & Variability of Position • Jumps (height, toes, arm placement) • Performability/Maturity • A large part of team placement will rely on athlete evaluation from previous seasons (i.e. coachability, work ethic,
attitude, leadership, attendance, skill retention) TRY-OUT PRACTICE SCHEDULE (If open by May 15)

ELITE CHEER MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT To ensure the commitment of all team members and to protect the best interests of each of our clients, Elite Cheer Team parents are required to sign a 11-month Elite Cheer Membership Contract (June-April). By signing the contract, participants and their parents are committing themselves to the time obligation and are financially responsible for tuition through the length of the term in which monthly tuition will be deducted by electronic funds transfer (auto-withdrawal from a checking account). In return, Elite Cheer will provide instruction by qualified Elite Cheer Staff and training. The contract does not guarantee a specific team, team level, position, or that the athlete will perform. An athlete’s position on team is contingent upon skill attainment/execution, adherence to attendance and behavioral policies (athlete/parent) and maintaining an up to date account with Elite Cheer. Elite Cheer reserves the right to combine teams, change team levels, or move/remove athletes anytime during the season if deemed necessary.
