SCHEDULE: Final Tournament Schedule will be released on May 25, 2020 on Facebook “AAU Taekwondo Oregon”.

REGISTRATION: Register Online by May 24, 2020! Early Registration is RECOMMENDED for all competitors & coaches.

All Early Registration must be Registered and Paid Online by April 30, 2020; Email applications with payment by credit card must be

emailed by April 30, 2020 to [email protected]. Online Registration between May 1 - 24, 2020 and email applications received be-

tween May 1 - 24, 2020 will be subjected to LATE registration fees without exceptions. Online Registration is available at

www.AAUTKD.com. Online Late Registration CLOSES at 11:59pm PST on MAY 24, 2020. Absolutely no registration accepted after

May 24, 2020. All participants must have a current AAU membership.

ENTRY FEES: All Belts - By April 30, 2020 One Event $75.00 Additional Event $50.00 each. Coach/Media - By April 30, 2020 $75.00 (5/1 through 5/24, $125)

*Late registration fee of $50 will be added from MAY 1 through MAY 24th with no exceptions.

Tournament Registration will be CLOSED at 11:59pm PST on MAY 24, 2020 *All Event Changes will result in a $30.00 fee per change with no exceptions. Mandatory change fee for all changes,

including name change, change of date of birth, event changes, weight changes, and age division changes. All change request must be submitted with a revised paper registration form with payment information and emailed to

[email protected] before May 24, 2020.

AWARDS: Beautiful quality Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and two 3rd places.

SPECTATOR FEES: Donations. All donations collected at the door will proceeds to 2020 Oregon State AAU National Team.

MANDATORY: “Color Taekwondo Uniforms are allowed” at this tournament for non-sparring Color Belts only. Color Belt Sparring com-petitors must wear WT approved white uniforms in black or white V-neck. Black Belts MUST wear White World Taekwondo approved uni-form with Black V Neck for sparring and board break. Black Belt Poomsae and weapons competitors may wear y-neck Poomsae uniforms approved by World Taekwondo. No color uniforms are allowed in sparring competitions.

EQUIPMENT: All Sparring competitors must provide their own Shin-Insteps, arm pads, groin guard (male only), gloves, head protector, clear or white mouth guard. Groin guard must be worn under Taekwondo pants. Plastic Face Shield is required for 11 years & Under Spar-ring divisions. All Color Belt Sparring competitors must provide their own chestguard. Head Gear (provided by competitors) must match chest guard color unless White headgear is worn. All Black Belt Sparring competitors MUST WEAR DAEDO BODY PROTECTORS & SENSOR SOCKS GEN1. DAEDO Protectors will be provided at the tournament site. Competitor must own DAEDO Socks and head gear. DAEDO Socks are available for sale at the tournament site. Full line of martial arts equipment will be available for purchase at the event venue.

RULES: Current World Taekwondo and Organizing Committee rules will govern this event with emphasis on fairness and traditional martial arts values.

SPARRING ROUNDS: All Ages & All Color Belts - Single elimination bracket, 2 Rounds, 1 minute round with 30 second rest period. Black Belts - Single elimination bracket, 2 Rounds, 90 seconds with 30 second rest period. Tournament Chairman has the right to change the duration of rounds and official decisions without notices.

WEIGH - INS: Weigh in will be done at the staging area on the day of the competitions for all sparring competitors.

POOMSAE: All Color Belt & Black Belt Poomsae competitors will compete in 1 Round of Compulsory Poomsae of their choice. FREESTYLE POOMSAE: Maximum 100 seconds. Music Required. Must bring own music device. Maximum 5 people.

BOARD BREAKING: Each competitor must purchase their own demo board at the venue for $3 each. All boards must be purchased at the tournament venue for fairness. DISTANCE BREAK - Winner will be participant who jumps the farthest while breaking one regulation sized board at the 1st or 2nd attempt without stepping on the foul line. A 2nd attempt will only be offered to competitors who step on the fault line or fail to break the board in the 1st attempt. HEIGHT BREAK - Winner will be participant who jumps the highest while breaking one regulation sized board on the 1st or 2nd attempt. A 2nd attempt will only be offered to competitors who fail to break in the 1st attempt. Maximum of two attempts on each board break. All boards will be held by assigned referee with no exceptions. CREATIVE BREAK - Competitors will get 1 minute to complete their board break and clean up broken boards. Maximum 30 boards. Max. of two attempts on each board break. Boards must be held by athlete’s coach. NO Board Holder’s Passes Will Be Given. Foot & Hand Techniques allowed.

COACH / MEDIA PASS: All Coach & Media Passes can be registered online for $75.00 each if paid by April 30, 2020; registration for coach pass between May 1 - 24 will be $125. . Coach or Media Passes can be purchased at the Venue for $125.00, Cash Only. Please do NOT email Coaching Pass requests; online registration ONLY.

All Coaches must complete coaching certification through AAU. All coaching certifications are done online a www.aautaekwondo.org. Coaching is required for all sparring competitors. Must be a current AAU Member prior to Registration. AAU Membership is Required.

SEE YOU SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2020 AT OREGON STATE QUALIFIER!

The top four finishers in any division qualify to compete in the AAU Taekwondo Nationals and the AAU Junior Olympics. The Nationals will be in Las Vegas, Nevada first week of July. Information on these national events

will be available at the AAU Oregon State Taekwondo Championship.

-This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.

-All participants must have a current AAU membership.

-AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event.

-AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins, except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection.

Be Prepared: Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at an event. Due to background screenings, please allow up to 10 days for adult memberships to be processed.

-Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU website www.aausports.org to obtain their membership.
