THE COUNTRY CLUB OF NORTH CAROLINAThe Country Club of North Carolina was founded in 1963 by a group of prominent North Carolina businessmen and has been member-owned since its beginning. The Club is proud to have a healthy membership base, which includes homeowners, Moore County, North Carolina, Junior Associates, National and International members. Truly, it is a club like no other.CCNC has two exceptional and challenging golf courses, which are consistently ranked in North Carolina’s top 15. The Dogwood Course is an Ellis Maples/Willard Byrd design. The Cardinal Course was designed by Willard Byrd/Robert Trent Jones. Both courses were renovated by Arthur Hills from 1999-2002. In 2016 the Dogwood Course was completely renovated by Kris Spence, who was respectful to the original Ellis Maples design while modernizing the course to accommodate new technology. As one plays these extraordinary courses, it is easy to forget that CCNC is a thriving residential community. Four hundred twenty-one homes sit back from the fairways and greens so that lot sites do not encroach upon the golf course. This maximizes privacy for both homeowners and golfers alike. The Club encompasses 2000 acres and is gated with members and their guests entering property via a gate house manned by security personnel. Property ownership within CCNC is not a prerequisite for Club membership; however, anyone wishing to purchase property must be accepted to membership.

The Club has eight Har-Tru tennis courts, lighted for evening play. Overlooking the tennis courts is a newly constructed Tennis Venue with indoor/outdoor patio seating for viewing pleasure. The Fitness Center, located below the Tennis Venue, has state-of-the-art exercise equipment and provides spectacular views of Lake Watson. Adjacent to the Tennis/Fitness complex is a full-size swimming pool, diving pool, kiddie pool and playground, all of which have access to a snack bar to enjoy alfresco dining during the summer months.

CCNC prides itself on being an active, family-oriented, first-class, full-service private club. The Men’s Golf Association, Ladies’ Golf Association, USTF Adult Leagues, Ladies’ 9-Hole Golf, Garden Club, Couples Bridge and Ladies’ Bridge are but a few of the organizations available to adults. Children enjoy Golf-Tennis-Swim camps, Junior Golf programs, the CCNC Swim Team, pool games, festivals and movie nights. Popular events throughout the year include the Club’s Birthday Weekend Celebration, 4th of July fireworks, summer pool cookouts, the annual Oyster Roast, a Halloween haunted walk, Thanksgiving Dinner (dine-in or take-out), Brunch with Santa, and a New Year’s Eve gala.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS• Membership at CCNC requires a sponsor, seconder and two endorsers who

are members of the Club.• The prospective member completes a Membership Candidate Information

Questionnaire, which is submitted to the Membership Committee with four letters ofrecommendation.

• After a credit check and background check are complete, the Membership Committeewill arrange to meet with the candidate.

• If the Membership Committee makes a recommendation for circulation, the proposedcandidate’s name is provided to Club members. The determination of the candidate’sapproval is finalized 14 days after circulation.

If you are interested in joining CCNC or learning more about the Club, please contact Heather Hensley. Heather will be happy to speak with you and/or arrange a tour of the property.

The newly constructed golf venue/halfway house overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green of the Cardinal course is the perfect setting to enjoy breakfast and lunch with family and friends. Dinner, formal and semi-formal, is served in the clubhouse Wednesday thru Sunday with exquisite views of Lake Watson and the Dogwood course. The Country Club of North Carolina has no minimum spending requirements.

A selection of private houses that are managed by the Club are available for rental to visiting members and their guests for overnight or extended stays. Accommodations vary but all properties are fully equipped to call home for the full CCNC experience.

The Country Club of North Carolina provides an environment enabling members to support family traditions while strengthening new and lifelong friendships. CCNC stands on a firm financial foundation and will remain faithful to the Club’s original principles which are to be a superb golf and country club retreat in the finest traditions of family values and the game of golf.
