NORTH CAROLINA ALL-STATE HONORS BAND CLINIC University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Chapel Hill, North Carolina STUDENT SCHEDULE STUDENT SCHEDULE SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2020 9 : 00 AM — 4 : 30 PM Rehearsals (same locations as Friday) Lunch Break (included in clinic fee) Middle School - 12:00 - 1:30 PM 9/10 Band - 12:15 - 1:45 PM 11/12 Band - 12:30 - 2:00 PM SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2020 9 : 00 AM — 12 : 45 PM Final Rehearsals (On stage in Memorial Hall) 11/12 Band - 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM 9/10 Band - 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM Middle School - 12:00 - 12:45 PM (must arrive in concert dress) *Do not bring luggage into the auditorium prior to the concert or after. You will not be able to change clothes in the auditorium. 1 : 00 PM North Carolina All-State Honors Band Concert Middle School Honors Band - Wendy Higdon 9/10 Honors Band - Dr. Margaret Underwood 11/12 Honors Band - Col. Lowell Graham Recordings will be available to order from Design Recording in the lobby of Memorial Hall. CONCERT ATTIRE Concert Attire for men is a dark dress pant, a white shirt and a tie (coat optional but suggested) and for the women either a dark color dress or nice dark dress pants and a blouse. Many students may choose to wear formal concert attire “concert black” which would consist of a tuxedo for the gentlemen and either an all black dress or black skirt and black blouse for the ladies. Formal concert black is not required but permissible. CHANGING INFORMATION Do not bring luggage, garment bags, etc. into the auditorium. You may not change clothes at the auditorium. You must arrive in concert attire and leave in concert attire. Middle school students should plan to come to the dress rehearsal wearing their concert attire. All high school students may change following their dress rehearsal at your hotel but may not bring luggage into Memorial Hall. PARKING INFORMATION There are parking decks on Rosemary Street, which is located two blocks from Memorial Hall. There are also parking lots along Cameron Avenue that may be utilized. Be sure to read and follow all posted signage in the parking lots. MEAL INFORMATION Breakfast on Saturday morning and Dinner on Saturday night is the responsibility of the student and director. HOUSING INFORMATION All students are to be housed in area hotels. Directors will make hotel reservations and arrangements for transportation to and from the campus. Directors are responsible for registering students at the Honors Band Clinic and bringing all necessary payments and requested documents. Directors are also responsible for chaperoning and supervising their students, in person, for the entire weekend. *Parents may not register students for the North Carolina Honors Band Clinic or supervise students in place of their band director throughout the weekend. All students are dismissed to the care of their Band Director. ALL INSTRUMENTS MUST GO WITH STUDENTS. 4 : 30 PM
