Since 2018 we have an amended policy: we use fixed and affordable rates for
everyone. This way you know what to expect upfront and we can talk about the
essence: how can we optimise Ster’s offer in order to achieve your objective(s)?

listened to, attract both a broad and small audience and receive high ratings. And

SUMMER DISCOUNT*
Ster offers advertisers the opportunity to receive an additional
discount during the sports months at NPO (June, July and
August). In order to benefit from the summer discount, an
agreement with Ster must be signed before 1 April 2020.

GUARANTEE ON RATE AND PRIORITY PLACEMENT Campaigns requested before the initial request deadline of the purchase period
are given priority when reserving advertising space. In addition a market index
of no higher than 100 applies to these campaigns. In the event the market index
falls below 100, you will benefit from the rate advantage.
CANCELLATION POLICY In 2020 Ster will charge the advertiser 15% cancellation costs (as opposed to
25% in 2019) in the event of cancellations and/or movements at monthly level.

EARLY-PAYMENT AND SYSTEM DISCOUNT The percentages for the early-payment discount and the system discount as
described in the General Terms and Conditions are both set at 0.5% for 2020.

The basic rates apply to 2020. A market index may be applied, possibly resulting in a higher or lower monthly rate.
ONLINE You can purchase your campaign online in a variety of ways: over the entire
network (RON), targeted at specific channels (ROC) or highly specifically at
programme level (ROS). At Ster we do not use personal data when placing
campaigns. Instead we lay focus on placement with the right content at the right
moment, in order to reach your target group.
CONTEXTUAL
By reading out the 888-subtitling within the content the actual context is
determined. This makes it possible to place a campaign highly specifically based
on relevant content.
STOPPERIn addition to the regular targeting options we also offer the option of using a
“Stopper”. When using a “Stopper” the video is placed across the entire network.
As we offer no guarantee on placement this option comes at a lower rate.
FAMILYWhen you want to reach both parents and children, you can opt for a “Family
package”. With a “Family package” a minimum of 20% is placed within Zapp, Ster
determines the final division with a maximum of 50% on Zapp. The video must
comply with the requirements for placement on Zapp.
