Members Heritage believes everybody should have access to an education. We are happy to provide a Scholarship Program for our young members, designed to promote education and achievement. In 2020, Members Heritage will award four students $2,500 each to help finance their higher education pursuits. Eligibility Our Scholarship Program is open to the youth of Members Heritage. To qualify, the student must be a member of our credit union and a graduating high school senior planning to attend an accredited college or university on a full-time basis. Also, applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or above in order to qualify. Selection An impartial committee comprised of MHCU volunteers and employees will select recipients. Winning students will be notified before the close of the school year. Application Interested students must complete this application form and all required items listed below. Upon completion, students may send their scholarship packet to: Scholarship Committee, Members Heritage Credit Union, 2420 Members Way, Lexington, KY 40504. Applications will be accepted between January 1st and March 31st. Only fully completed applications that meet all requirements will be considered for the Scholarship. Checklist of Required Items: 1. Transcript of Grades 2. Two Letters of Recommendation* 3. Personal Data Sheet (See Below) 4. Essay on “Why Credit Unions Are Good for Their Communities.” Essay must be typed or written legibly on 8½ x 11 paper, no longer than two pages typewritten or three pages handwritten. 5. Summary on “Why I Need this Scholarship.” (One page only, please.) 6.
