D-TRAIN MARCH 13-15
D-TRAIN=District Training
It is a FUN place to go and hang around like-minded fellow Auxiliarists who are the best at what
they do. The dream team if you will, the most active members in the entire District come together
along with some gold side (USCG) to teach and spend time with you.
A great motivational tool to keep you excited about things, to hear from active Coast Guard
Officers on why the Auxiliary is important. Good Training you need!! Training is devotion to duty!
EVERY member should attend; we strive to have something for everyone!
COST CUTTING to attend a D-Train: Share a room, carpool, and
come for the day. See if your Flotilla or Division is funding
members? We hope to see you!
OUR MEMBERS • OUR STRENGTH
LCDR Victoria L. Taylor
Director of Auxiliary, D5-NR U.S. Coast Guard
District Commodore
Thomas J. Dever
"You have volunteered to an elite organization, where we ask much from you. Anyone can volunteer, but Coast Guard Auxiliarists are held to a higher standard and in order to be utilized, you will need special skillsets that the training at DTRAIN offers. DTRAIN is not just about the training, but does it in a way where fellowship is everywhere, in an easy atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship, and where recognition takes place."
I look forward to seeing you at D-
Train. There is no better
opportunity to get to know your
Auxiliary Leadership and our
Active Duty partners and to get the
best training available. Please
make sure to say hello to me if we
haven’t met! Tom

What’s in it for YOU:
"- It is a FUN event every 6 months to hang around with fellow Auxiliarists who are the very best at
what they do. The most active members in the entire
District come together along with Active Duty to teach and spend time with YOU.
- Its great MOTIVATION to hear from Coast Guard
Officers on how YOUR activities are important, and how YOU are making a difference.
- Good TRAINING to help you learn more and be a
better Team member; and to prepare YOU to train
OTHERS.
- These are your member BENEFITS. We invest
over $12,000 in every DTRAIN for those who attend. The time and cost you devote to attend

AUXILIARY CORE TRAINING – Mandatory for all New Members:

AUXCT Course Requirements: As a result of changes, AUXCT is now
comprised of the following repeatable and one-time courses:
a. Repeatable Courses: To be successfully completed by the end of the
first full year of enrollment and then once every five years thereafter:
(1) Workforce Resilience Training (502379)*
(2) Security Fundamentals (810030)
(3) Privacy at DHS: Protecting Personal Information (810015)
(4) Sexual Harassment Prevention (810000)
(5) Civil Rights Awareness (502319)
* Auxiliarists who have yet to complete AUXCT because they had not completed the Sexual Assault
Prevention / Response course (810045) must now complete the new Workforce Resilience Training

the end of the first full year of enrollment):
(6) Ethics 1 / Personal Gifts (502306).
