For this weeks writing lesson we are going to write a letter that you could send to us over the year 2 email address about what you have done at home this week.
Who can remember what you need to include in a letter?
• Address• Date
• Address the letter to someone – Dear Miss Wilkes • Questions – How are you? What have you been doing this
week? • Ending of the letter – from, love from.
You will be writing a letter about what you have been doing this week.
Think about and then write down some things you might want to include in your letter.
- What work you have done for school?- Have you been enjoying the lovely weather, if so what have you done?- Have you made anything with your family?- Have you played any games with your family?- What has been your favourite memory this week?

Dear Miss Wilkes,
I am writing to let you know what I have been doing this week. I have been incredibly busy this
week doing lots of fun things with my family but I have taken the time to write this letter to you.

Read and Relax
Today is Read and Relax. This means you need to pick a book that you want to read and read the book for 20 minutes.
You can read a book that you have at home or you could choose a book off ‘Getepic’ to read.
Get Epic is available Monday- Friday between 9am and 4pm.
Remember to pick a book that interests you.
There is a story on the next page if you cant find a book to read.
When you have finished reading the book. Think:
What was the story about?Who were the characters?
What was your favourite part? Why? Would you recommend this book to a
friend? Why?
Lunch- Think Time
A question for you to think about while you’re having your lunch.
