Safety

Road Safety • Teachers will ensure all students fasten their

seat-belts

General Safety• Drinking water: to fill up at the water cooler every morning• Teacher - Pupil ratio is 1:10 • Daily safety brief and evening security rounds by teachers in the boarding school• Students are allowed to contact parents at the end of each day

Safety

• Make sure all pupils are seated• Check with the boatman the location of

the life vests

Medical Matters

• Pupils are to bring their medication (if any) and keep it with them all the time.

• Parents are to write clear instructions on the dosage and administration of medication.

• Teacher will call parent for approval before administering the medication, example Panadol.

Packing List

1. 1 MGS Collegiate T-shirt (white or blue) (Day 2)

2. 1 House T-shirt (Day 3)

3. 1 extra T-shirt (House or Collegiate)

4.2 pairs of jeans / track / long pants (black or dark blue)(No tights or leggings)

5. Sleepwear (1 – 2 sets)

6. 4 sets of undergarments (recommended)

7. 1 pair of slippers (for indoor use)

8. 3 pairs of socks

9.Toiletries (comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo,conditioner and shower foam)

10. Bath towel

11. Medication a)Travel medication, for example, motion sickness pills,

charcoal pills, paracetamol, anti-itch cream, insect repellent.

b)Special medication (if any), for example, eczema cream, inhaler

NB: All medication has to be properly labelled with instructions for dosage. Pupils will need to know how to self-administer.

12. ODT (thermometer) – compulsory and must be in working

condition

13. Clipboard, writing material (e.g. pens) & coloured pencils

14. Two 500 ml water bottles (please do not bring along

coolers)

15. Cap / umbrella / raincoat / poncho / windbreaker

16. Ziplock / plastic bags for soiled clothing

17. 1 sheet protector to keep the activity booklet and worksheets

18. Tissue paper / wet wipes

19. Small haversack or sling bag (to carry water bottle and daily essentials)(no tote bags)

20. EZ-link card (minimum value of $5)

25. Camera, mobile phone, batteries and charging device(no other electronic devices are allowed)

There are NO lifts at the boarding house. Your bag should be manageable.
