21 Moses, Drawn out of Water
62
The king of Egypt gave a scary command.
“Toss all the baby boys of Israel into the river!”
Jochebed gave birth to a baby boy.
She wanted to save him. She put her boy in a basket
and set it into the river.
“Please save my boy, God,” she prayed.

Exodus 1~3
A princess of Egypt was bathing by the river. She saw
a basket by the reeds of the water. “Bring the basket
here,” she commanded.
When the princess saw what was inside the basket,
she was surprised. “It’s a baby boy of Israel! I will
make him my son.” The baby boy became her child.
The princess named him “Moses”, meaning,
‘drawn out from water.’
64
Moses became a prince of Egypt.
One day, he saw an Egyptian beating an Israelite.
“How dare he beat up one of my people......”
Moses became very angry. Moses hit the Egyptian
and killed him! Moses ran away and went to the land
of Midian.
65
40 years passed by. Moses was living in Mount Horeb.
Moses saw a bush that was on fire......
but amazingly the fire did not harm the bush.
Then God spoke to Moses.
“Moses! Moses! Bring my people Israel out of Egypt.”
Moses had no confidence.
God promised He would be with Moses, and Moses
listened to God. God always protected Moses.

Namwoo looked at the plant, and saw that in the direction of the window,
there were little buds. Namwoo was curious. “Mom, it’s like there are more
leaves on this side of the plant.”
It’ll grow if you’re close to it!
67
“Good job, Namwoo! You see, plants grow better where there is
more sunlight. We go to the kitchen to eat when we’re hungry,
right? We have to eat well to be healthy.
So what do you think would happen if you listened well
to the word of God?”
