Love“Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the

Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” Galatians 5:25

“Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a

sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” Ephesians 5:2

Father God, give my children Your heart for this world. Let them see this fallen world with their

spiritual eyes rather than their physical eyes. Help them to show Your love to each and every person

they encounter as they go through their day. Father, let my children look so much like You that when someone parts their company they feel like

they have spent time with You. Let their lives be a sweet aroma to You. Your greatest commandment is to love You with all our heart, soul, and mind so I

ask that my children always love You above everything & everyone.

Love for God’s Word

“They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey

dripping from the comb.” Psalm 19:10

Thank you, Father, that Your Word is sweeter than honey from a honey comb. Spring forth an

unquenchable thirst within each of my children for Your Word. Let it be spiritual salve for their souls.

Lord, let them never despise Your teachings. Renew in them a desire to know You more. Cause

them to want to study Your Word to show themselves approved. Help them to recognize that the Word of God is their spiritual sword to wage war against the evil one. With it they can take

authority over and defeat the schemes of the enemy.

FaithfulnessNever let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep

within your heart. Proverbs 3:3

Inscribe upon the hearts of my children loyalty, kindness and faithfulness. When they make a commitment to do something let them follow

through. Father, that they would cultivate faithfulness, and that they would be known as

someone who is a person of their word. Lord God, when they make a promise to someone or enter into

a covenant with You they do not take such commitments lightly. Thank you that as they walk

out this life that they cling to You and Your teachings.

Integrity &Honesty

“May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.” Psalm 25:21

Our hope is found in You and You alone, Lord. I declare that my children are honest and full of

integrity. Even when no one is looking they choose to do what is right and proper in Your sight. Help them to do all things with excellence as unto You. Father, I thank you that they have reputations for being dependable individuals. They do not grieve the Holy Spirit by being dishonest, but they are Godly examples of good character and loyalty.

Purity“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal

spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10

Create in each of my children a clean heart and steadfast spirit, Father God. Convict them to live a

life of purity, holy and pleasing in Your sight. Lord, I pray they keep themselves pure for the

spouse You have for them if indeed marriage is in Your plans for them. Give them wisdom to set up and keep boundaries that assist them in remaining pure. Give them the strength to be holy as You are holy. Impress upon their spirit that this is not an

insurmountable task. Father, help them to remember that through their weakness Your

strength is made perfect, and that in moments of temptation they can cry out to You for help because

they have been given access to You through the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Kindness“See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always

try to do good to each other and to all people.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15

Lord, I declare and decree that my children do not pay back evil with evil. They are exceedingly kind

in every situation they encounter. They extend goodness and mercy to others just as You. Help

them to act Christ-like even whenever they feel as though they are being treated unfairly. Father God,

when they feel that they would be justified in defending themselves that they would turn the

other cheek. Vengeance is Yours, Lord, so let them never take matters into their own hands, but instead

let them trust that you will fight on their behalf.

Perseverance“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin

that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”

Hebrews 12:1

My children persevere in every situation and circumstance they encounter. They are not weighed down by sin, but have stripped away all sin that has

tried to entangle them. Through the power of Christ Jesus they persecute their flesh each day, and

run their race with endurance. They never grow tired of doing good, because they recognize that in

due season they will reap if they do not give up. They press forward towards the mark for the prize,

which they understand is only found in Christ Jesus.

Joy“So you received the message with joy from the

Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and

the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 1:6

In all seasons my children choose to be joyful. I declare and decree that they are not controlled by

their emotions, but they make the conscious decision each and every day to have joy. Weeping

may endure for a night, but Father God I thank you that joy comes in the morning. In seasons when

difficulties come their way I thank you that sadness is not their portion. You restore unto them their

joy even in those seasons. The joy of the Lord will be their strength all the days of their lives.

Humility“They must not slander anyone and must avoid

quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.”

Titus 3:2

My children are humble in spirit. They are not proud or boastful. They avoid quarreling and do not engage in slander. They are gentle and show true humility to everyone. They understand that

true humility is not thinking less of themselves, but instead is thinking of themselves less. Thank you, Lord God, that they are not self-centered, but are others-centered. Thank you that they never seek

accolades or credit, but desire only for You to receive all the honor and glory.

A Servant’sHeart

“Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

Ephesians 6:7

Father God, I thank you that each of my children have the heart of a servant. They are men and

women after Your own heart. Thank you that they recognize and understand that it is more blessed to

give than to receive. Thank you that they understand that they were saved to serve not to sit, and that they have the ultimate example of what a servant looks like in Your son, Christ Jesus. Help them to serve You with a joyful heart, and not out

of selfish ambition. I declare that they are bondservants for You and Your Kingdom. They

choose to serve You all the days of their lives.

Hope“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you

completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope

through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

“3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of

character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God

loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

Romans 5:3-5

God, I thank you that You are the source of hope for my children. I pray that they recognize that

their hope is found in You alone. Father, fill each of them with joy and peace that surpasses all

understanding. Let them overflow with confident hope no matter what comes their way that You are in control. Father God, when they face trials they remember that endurance produces character and

character produces hope and that when their hope is found in You they will not be disappointed. You

are working all things for their good!

Gratitude“And give thanks for everything to God the Father

in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20

“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will

overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7

In all things my children give thanks, whether they are on a mountain top or in a valley they have

attitudes of gratitude. They recognize that in all seasons they are to bear fruit so they thank you even

for trials. Thank you that they worship You through all seasons of their lives. Father, they look to examples in the Bible like Job and Joseph who

faced adversity, but never let those adversities dwindle their faith. The same faith that allowed Job & Joseph to be grateful in all they were faced with resides in the spirit of each of my children.

Self-Discipline

“Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right,

just, and fair.” Proverbs 1:3

“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in

this way.” Hebrews 12:11

Father, I declare and decree that my children have self-discipline. Lord, they recognize that the very

same power that allowed Your son, Jesus Christ, to endure death on a cross is the very same power that lives inside of them. Through that power they can be disciplined and do what is right in every area of

their lives. Father, I thank you that although discipline is painful initially that it reaps a harvest of

right living. Thank you that through You my children have self-discipline.

Give peace“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and

try to build each other up.” Romans 14:19

Father, I thank you that you are the author of peace. My children walk in peace with everyone. They are

peacemakers whenever conflicts arise, and edify everyone they come in contact with. They seek to build up, not tear down. Your peace shall be their

portion all the days of their lives. Thank you, Lord, that they understand that true peace is found in You

and You alone.

Faith“5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to

increase our faith. 6 The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say

to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it would obey you!”

Luke 17:5-6

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.” (continued)

Hebrews 11:1-40

My children have faith that is unshakeable even in the darkest of hours. Father God, Your Word says

that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. I thank you that my children have

mountain moving faith. Father, I thank you that they have confidence that what they hope for they

will see come to fruition. They walk by faith not by sight. Increase their faith as they go through their

lives in Jesus’ name.

Respect“Respect everyone, and love the family of

believers.[a] Fear God, and respect the king.”1 Peter 2:17

My children respect, honor and love everyone. They have a reverential fear and respect for the

Lord. They esteem every authority figure that God has placed in their lives. They are honorable in the

way they conduct themselves both inside and outside of the church all the days of their lives.

They love their Christian brothers and sisters and treat them exceedingly well.

Value ofwork

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

Colossians 3:23

Thank you that my children work as unto You, not as unto man. They work willingly and

wholeheartedly at whatever they do. They recognize that if they do not work they will not eat. Lord, that they would be the hardest worker at their

jobs, and a light in their workplace. Father, help them to obey and respect all authority figures You have placed in their lives. Lord, help them honor

their boss and do what is asked of them with a cheerful heart unless their boss is asking them to do

something that is contrary to Your Word.

Compassion“Since God chose you to be the holy people he

loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility,

gentleness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12

Lord Jesus, I ask that each morning when my children rise You help them to be clothed in

kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness and patience. Father, help them treat others as they would want to be treated. Let them to be good

ambassadors for Your Kingdom, Lord. Holy Spirit, convict them any time they fail to extend the same

grace and compassion that the Lord extends to them each and every day. They show compassion,

because You first showed them compassion.

Courage“The LORD said to Moses, “You are about to die and join your ancestors. After you are gone, these

people will begin to worship foreign gods, the gods of the land where they are going. They will abandon

me and break my covenant that I have made with them.”

Deuteronomy 31:16

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

2 Timothy 1:7

Lord Jesus, I thank you that You do not give my children a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind. Thank you that You call to their remembrance that courage is the ability to do

something even when faced with adversity. They are strong and courageous! Your Word declares

that they can do not some things, not most things, but all things through You. Thank you, Father

God, that You make them brave

Self-esteem“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us

anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Ephesians 2:10

My children do not suffer with having low self-esteem. The world nor the culture defines who they

are! Each of them knows well who they are in Christ Jesus. They recognize that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. They understand that they

are a masterpiece created in God’s own image. They are the head and not the tail. They are above and not beneath. They are more than conquerors

through Christ Jesus. They are victors not victims. They are confident in who they are in You, and find

their identity in You alone.

Prayerfulness“Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Father God, I thank you that my children pray without ceasing. Before they run to any human

being they run to You. They pray about all things before making a life decision. They seek to be in Your perfect will for their lives. In all things they seek You first through prayer and fasting. They

believe in the power of prayer, and see the fruit of those prayers. They spend time in Your presence

each and every day, and recognize that better is one day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere.

Thank you, Father, that my children are prayer warriors for Your Kingdom.
