The Bentley portfolio of power presses rangefrom 20 – 600 tonnes in capacity and include thepopular Epic models with Epicyclic Drive andfront to back crankshaft design.
The Epic range of power presses (illustratedabove) is generally accepted as representing the finest machine of its type in the world. An Epicyclic Drive, combined with apneumatically operated Double Disc Brake Unitmaintains a high energy rating throughout thepress speed range. This energy is controlled bythe low inertia high torque braking system whichensures highly accurate stopping positionsthroughout the press cycle.
In addition to the many standard features of the Bentley press range, such as pneumaticslide balance and adjustable stroke, customerspecified features include hydraulic overload, hydraulic tool clamping and active loadmeasurement.
Founded in 1921, HME continue tomanufacture a wide variety of MechanicalPower Presses. The extensive HME rangeincludes Open Front, Four Pillar and DoubleSided mechanical presses as well as thepopular HME “A” shaped press frame.
HME “AH” presses (right) use computer aideddesign techniques to increase tool life throughclass-leading structural rigidity and uniformparallel deflection. Access to all four sides ofthe machine provides for easy tool changingoperations and is ideal for progression toolingset-ups and interfacing with automatedproduction lines.
A full selection of HME spares are held in stockat the Wakefield (UK) factory supported by ateam of HME dedicated service engineers.

Boasting an international customer base, the HME Minting press range includes the K-Series of Knuckle Joint Under-DriveCoining Machines and the new HME highspeed Coinmaster IV press, designed for the production of coinage for circulation.
The HME K-Series presses are available in 180, 360 and 600 tonnes capacity, and offer amarket leading solution to a wide variety of coining, embossing, forming and sizingoperations. These machines are ideally suitedfor the production of medals and proof coins, and are also used in many other industrieswhere coining operations are required.
The HME Coinmaster Minting machines are designed and built for speed, quality andreliability. The new generation of the highspeed HME Coinmaster press (pictured left ata National Mint) produces circulation coins at
speeds in excess of 750 coins per minute.

Renowned throughout the industry for theaccuracy and reliability of it’s products,Cowlishaw Walker has supplied robust anddurable Mechanical Power Presses for overseventy years.
The Company offers mechanical single anddouble-action presses with ratings from 40 to2500 tonnes and bed areas up to 3700 mm x2100 mm. All presses are eccentrically drivenwith the transmission being totally enclosedwithin the press crown.
Cowlishaw Walker presses are generallystandardised in terms of construction, strokeand bed area, and are used predominantly inthe Automotive, Agricultural Machinery andWhite Goods industries. When the occasionarises however, the designs are such that theycan be adapted to suit the special requirementsof the customer, and “standard specials”incorporating features such as Moving Bolsters(pictured above) are regularly supplied.

The patented Dualform process lends its nameto this singular range of Double ActingHydraulic Presses. The process enables amatched set of top and bottom dies to becreated simultaneously within the press itself, which can then be used for the manufacture ofpressed parts within hours.
The tools are cast using “Jewelite”, a unique, low melting point alloy, contained in a special“bath” within the press toolspace (picturedabove). After use, the tools are melted in situand the same alloy used to cast a new set. This process makes the technology ideal forprototype, pre-production and other medium orlow volume work.
The Dualform process enables the user tomake significant savings in both production andtooling costs as well as dramatically reducingtime-to-market for new products and designs.
Coil Equipment Warehouse strives to supplythe best quality and value in coil processingmachinery. The large warehouse stock providescustomers with the unique ability to view, select and take delivery of a wide variety ofdecoiling, levelling and press feedingequipment.
Technical sales and service engineers are onhand to commission and support the completeCoil Equipment Warehouse range, as well asoffering technical advice on new products andCNC process line integration.
As well as designing and manufacturing its own machinery, the Company sources thebest value coil equipment from manufacturersin the UK and abroad, and its bulk buying powerensures customers the lowest possible prices. All Coil Equipment Warehouse products aremanufactured to International (ISO) andEuropean (CE) quality and safety standards.
The Coil Equipment Warehouse
product range includes:
NC Servo Roll Feed Equipment • Light,Medium and Heavy Duty Servo Leveller FeedSystems • Patented High Speed Gripper Feeds• Single and Double Sided Decoilers (withmotorised option) • Motorised Pallet Decoilers• Cradle Levellers • Combination Coil HolderLeveller Feed Systems (with poweredsnubbers) • Strip Lubricators • Coil Cars (withmotorised option) • Motorised Levellers • Space Savers (Decoiler Levellers) • Cut toLength and CNC Coil Processing Lines
