PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Transform the Duck Pond Parsonage and School into an art gallery and café, and extend verandah and outdoor dining area. This concept is designed to improve overall visitor experience through a high quality food and beverage offer, centred around bush tucker food grown on the site (‘Bush to table’ concept).
The outdoor dining area should be designed to accommodate shaded outdoor seating, food kiosks and vans during peak periods. The gallery and nearby outdoor dining area should consider ongoing programming to host regular events and different exhibits throughout the year.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Working closely with Wadawurrung, confirm the location and design of cultural trails, for users to learn about the Wadawurrung’s living culture, the significance of the site and its stories. Artworks, signage and other features could be installed along the trail to assist with interpretation.
As part of this project, design and construct a space for tour groups and visitors, which allows for people to stop and engage with Wurdi Youang.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design and deliver a new wetland discovery centre, with capacity for school group educational tours, the Junior Rangers Program, and separate rooms for Wadawurrung to provide cultural tours and for their own research programs.
Research facilities associated with the education centre should also be considered, attracting universities and specialists in wildlife conservation and wetland habitat research.
