Cardinal Sean has appointed Father Anthony Cusack as Administrator of St. Christopher Parish in Dor- chester and as Campus Minister for the University of Massachusetts—Boston. The effective date will be September 1, 2019 Congratulation, and God’s blessing upon Father Anthony on his new appointment. He will be dearly missed. There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, September 8 @ 12:00 followed by a reception in the Church Hall. All are invited to attend to wish Fr. Anthony well as he continues his journey. If any parish- ioners would like to help out with set-up, food or dessert, please call Judy at the Rectory.

Alpha Training

What is Alpha you ask?
Alpha is a place where people can come together, ask any question, talk through issues, share their opinions and make new friends. All of this happens best in an environment of hospitality. From the time the guest enters the room, all the way through the small group experience. If you would like to be part of making this happen in our collaborative, or are just interested in finding out more, please consider coming to our training day Septem- ber 7th from 8:30 to 3:15 in the St. Mark's Church hall. 10 dollars to cover the lunch provided and materials. Youth Group Happenings
There will be no Youth Group in August. Join us on Sunday, September 22nd for our Fall Kick-off . All youth ages 13-18 are invited to participate.
Vacation Bible School was such a blast! Thank you to everyone who helped and donated supplies to make this event possible for the kids. I would like to especially thank our teenagers who worked hard each day making the camp a really positive experience for our younger kids.
August 25 ~ Twenty-first Sunday of Ordinary Time Isaiah is speaking on behalf of the Lord, di- rectly to us: “…proclaim my glory among the nations.” This might seem like too much of a challenge. Take a few minutes to ask God to whom should you be proclaiming God’s glory? Is it a family member, a co-worker or a friend? Tell YOUR story of the im- portance of Jesus in your life. And, in case we think that task is for someone else, the Church in her wisdom reminds each one of us in today’s psalm refrain: “Go out to all the world and tell the good news!”
