“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”Psalm 121:1-2

“The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and

taught.” Mark 6:30

That is just what we should always do when we have been trying to do any service

for our Lord. We should do it as well as we can, and then go and tell him what we

have done. At the close of each day we should go to him and tell him of all that we

have done or tried to do during the day. We should tell him how we have lived,

how we have done our work, how we have endured temptations, how we have

treated our friends and those with whom we have been associated, how we have

performed our mission as his servants, what words we have spoken for him, what

efforts we have made to do good or to give comfort or help, and how we have met

the calls upon us for sympathy and aid.

We must not forget to tell him about the day's failures.

Did we lose our patience? Did we yield to temptation? Did we neglect to speak the

word for the Master that we ought to have spoken? Were we unkind to anyone?

We must tell him of the efforts to do good which seemed to come to naught.

Often times we are like the disciples who had toiled all the night and caught

nothing. At many a setting sun we come, weary and sad, with empty hands.

Then sometimes we are tempted to stay away from the Master and make no

report: what have we to report? nothing but a fruitless day.

But we should not, therefore, keep away from him who sent us forth.

Jesus had days in his own life that seemed fruitless, and he can understand our

sadness when we come with no sheaves.

So let us tell him all. That is the kind of evening secret prayer that will bless us.

It will make us very watchful all day if we remember that we must report to Jesus

all we say, or do, or fail to do; it will keep us in more intimate relations with him.

Then his sympathy will strengthen us for better service each day.

Meeting Jesus Face to Face Article by: By Jon W. Quinn

Revelation 1:12-18

I have not yet met Jesus face to face. I have met Him by faith. Paul pointed out that at this time "we walk by faith and not by sight" but that the time would come for the faithful to go home to be "with the Lord" and that one day all of us "will appear

before the judgment seat of Christ." (II Corinthians 5:7-10). Jesus referred to our present situation when He told Thomas, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed?

Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." (John 20:29).

What will Jesus look like? We do not know, but we do "know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is." (I John 3:2).

Certainly seeing Jesus for the first time as He is now, in His glorified state, will be a tremendously awe-inspiring and moving experience, unlike anything else we have ever known.

The last man to see Jesus as far as I am aware of was the apostle John, years after Jesus' ascension back into heaven. In highly symbolic language (the type of language in which the book of Revelation is written) John describes what he saw when Jesus appeared to

him and commanded that he record what is now the final book in the Bible. Keeping in mind the figurative nature of the words, as John, inspired by the Holy Spirit, writes concerning what he saw that day, note especially his description of Jesus, the same Jesus who

had walked and talked with John on earth, but is now glorified.

The Vision on the Island of Patmos "And I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned, I saw seven

golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands one like the Son of Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His breast with a golden girdle.

And His head and His hair were white like wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire; and His feet were like burnished bronze, when it had been caused to glow in a furnace, and

His voice was like the sound of many waters. And in His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged

sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, 'Do not be afraid; I am the

first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades." (Revelation 1:12-18).

John's Reaction "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man." (Revelation 1:17a).

Seeing Jesus in His glorified state had such an awe-inspiring effect on John that all his muscles lost their strength, his knees buckled and he fell limply to the ground.

Some of us have probably felt similar physical reactions during times of great emotion. John's emotion, upon seeing Jesus, was holy fear.

John had spent three years with Jesus in the flesh, and once had even seen Jesus glorified in a cloud when He had been "transfigured" on the mountain, but even that had not prepared him

to see Jesus as He was on this day.

We recall that all will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ "that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done,

whether good or bad." (II Corinthians 5:10). Do not think that your reaction on that occasion will be all that much different than John's.

"Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him" (Revelation 1:7) and it is God's plan that "every knee should bow" and "every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."

(Philippians 2:9-11).

Page 5 “Spiritual Warfare Prayer”

“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”Psalm 121:1-2

Jesus' Clothing "...and in the middle of the lampstands one like the Son of Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the

feet, and girded across His breast with a golden girdle." (Revelation 1:13). The clothing Jesus wore signified something. It was not something He had "just pulled out of His heavenly closet." The long robe signifies honor and dignity. Isaiah's vision of the LORD seven centuries

before also mentioned the long, flowing robe. (Isaiah 6:1-3).

The golden girdle spoke of Jesus' righteous priesthood. It should not be thought that Jesus chose to appear like the Old Testament priests, but rather, that God, centuries before, had given

instruction to the priests of Israel regarding their garb so that they might appear similar to how Jesus appears in heaven. The human priests of the Old Law were a mere shadow, or copy, of

Christ Jesus. He is the eternal One; they were temporary. (Hebrews 8:1-6).

Jesus' Head "And His head and His hair were white like wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of

fire... and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength." (Revelation 1:14; 16b). The whiteness of Jesus' head is described both "as wool" and "as snow." It is not the same kind of "white" as we normally think of skin color. Perhaps His

hair was like white wool, while the rest of His head was like snow. Certainly, this description speaks of Jesus' purity and holiness.

In addition to the whiteness, the face of Jesus shone as bright as the sun in its full strength. Jesus

certainly is the light of the world. He is the source of light. We should also recall that the righteous will become like Him, shining forth as the sun in their eternal home (Matthew 13:43).

His eyes are like a "flame of fire" which suggests their penetrating quality, and the wisdom

behind them. The "sword" issuing from His mouth suggests the truthfulness and accuracy of His words and judgments (Hebrews 4:12).

Jesus' Feet

"...and His feet were like burnished bronze, when it had been caused to glow in a furnace..." (Revelation 1:15a). We are caused to think of power and strength as we read this

description. There might also be a suggestion of judgment (Malachi 4:1-3). At any rate, the Lord is on His feet; He is active and powerful. Later in the book of Revelation, both the sword from

His mouth and the treading of His feet will be used to symbolize divine judgment being dispensed in the world (Revelation 19:15).

Jesus' Voice

"...and His voice was like the sound of many waters." (Revelation 1:15b). We should think of the roar of a mighty waterfall, or the crashing of powerful waves along a rocky shore, when we think

of His voice. It is powerful and strong, and yet at the same time can be comforting and tender. The voice of God is described as being as the sound or many wings, and as the sound of abundant

waters in other Scripture (Ezekiel 1:24). It is the voice by which the universe was spoken into existence. On the day of judgment, we will hear that voice say either "Depart from Me, I never

knew you." or "Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Master." (Matthew 7:23; 25:21).

Jesus' Assurance

"And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, 'Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades." (Revelation 1:17b,18). There was no reason for John to be afraid. He was not in

danger. Far from it. In fact, he had never been in less danger.

The One who had caused such awe in John was John's friend. He had died for John, but was now alive, and would be forevermore. He had the keys of death and Hades. He had met man's worse

enemy and had overcome it. With His right hand, he assures John that all is well, and it was time for John's instinctive fear give way to his reason. After so many years, He was once again in the

presence of Jesus. With Him, not even death and Hades are unconquerable. He has the keys.

“Prayer Is Our Weapon Against The Enemy” Article by: Benny Hinn

Paul the apostle taught, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).

This is a life-changing promise that will mean the difference for you between victory and defeat during coming days!

We are facing greater spiritual battles today than ever before. There has been a release of demonic activity on earth over the past 12 months that is unseen in

world history. And we are going to see an even greater release of demonic activity during coming months. These are more than physical battles. This is spiritual warfare.

What is happening in the Middle East and throughout the world is spiritual. Closer to home, we are fighting a spiritual battle for the souls of family members and loved

ones. Believers must be prepared! More specifically, a prepared soldier should never, ever go into battle without the right armor. That would be disastrous! Victory in battle hinges upon suitable armor and appropriate weaponry. And a spiritual battle requires proven spiritual weapons. It’s impossible to avert the attacks of the devil and prevail against his strategies in

your own strength. The Word of God instructs, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). As Bishop Bloomer shares on

the programs, we live in a world of spiritual and financial calamities. To counter satan’s attacks on the body of Christ, we must be prepared!

Weapons for Spiritual Warfare- Preparation for spiritual battle requires the application of principles revealed in the Word of God. When the whole armor of God is applied and used properly, you have full protection and are enabled to hold your ground against the enemy.

Ephesians 6 lists these seven pieces of armor — seven weapons of spiritual warfare — that can be the difference between life and death for you and your loved ones:

1.Your loins girt about with truth (verse 14). Loins refers to our minds. Peter said, “Gird up the loins of your mind” (1 Peter 1:13). Fill your mind with the Word of God.

2.Your breastplate of righteousness (verse 14). The breastplate covers the vital organs and speaks of the heart. The breastplate of righteousness

fortifies your heart against the enemy’s attacks. Allow the righteousness revealed in God’s Word to influence your mind and touch your heart.

3.Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (verse 15). The Word of God must affect your walk, your life. This happens as the Word fills your mind,

touches your heart, and is manifested, or seen, in your walk. It all begins with your mind. You begin to read and hear the Word, and it begins to influence and fill your heart with truth.

This affects your actions and daily life. 4.Your shield of faith (verse 16). Faith brings powerful results, for when faith is joined with the results of the Word in your mind, heart, and life, you can withstand the onslaught of the enemy

and render the enemy’s fiery darts ineffective. 5.Your helmet of salvation (verse 17). Once the truth enters your mind, touches your heart, and

is manifested in your actions, it becomes your nature. The helmet of salvation is the doctrine of the Word that brings balance to your life and keeps

you walking steady in the Spirit. 6.Your sword of the Spirit (verse 17). All the armor up to this point has served a defensive

purpose, intended for use in facing the enemy. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, and it is intended to be used as an offensive weapon against the enemy.

In three consecutive instances, Jesus Christ Himself used the Word of God as He resisted Satan’s temptation, repeatedly saying, “It is written” (Matthew 4:4, 6-7).

The sword of the Spirit helps you take back the territory that belongs to you — your family, your finances, and your health.

7.Your time spent in prayer and supplication in the Spirit (verse 18). The final weapon, also to be used on offense, is prayer that covers and clothes us like a mantle

The time has never been more critical for believers to be armed and ready with the spiritual weapons that God has provided! I cannot emphasize this enough.

Your life, and the lives of your loved ones, may hang in the balance!

“Spiritual Warfare Prayer (Move From A life Of Comfort To Significance) -Part 1”

How to plead and pray “The Blood of Jesus Prayer”- Spiritual Warfare The most powerful spiritual warfare prayer available to you!

I recommend all born again Christians learn how to incorporate the following spiritual warfare prayers into their daily prayer life. But this isn’t something you just jump into and do.

This is an excellent explanation of the “Blood of Jesus Prayer”. It is one of the most powerful prayers one can learn. The most powerful prayer one can say. But, it has to be done right. There are a few ground rules to using

this prayer. This is possibly one of the most important lessons every Christian can learn during these days of the end.

The Blood of Jesus shed for you. Learn the importance of learning “The Blood of Jesus Prayer”. First things first when learning to pray the “Blood of Jesus”.

First-it won’t accomplish anything unless it is said by a true believer. You should be saved to use this prayer. With the assurance of salvation comes the justification to use this prayer and the power to direct it. Secondly-In order for this prayer to be effective the believer must be in a position of surrender or submission to God and His

ways. I call it positional authority. The believer’s heart should be in a state of repentance and a thorough examination of oneself should have been

done before you attempt to use it. The spiritual health checklist request form, located at the bottom of this page, should actually be the first thing one does before you use this prayer.

To get the most powerful results, every Christian should get their own house in order before attempting this. I strongly advise you to fill out the download request form, located below, and get your free copy of the

“Rapture ForeWarning Advisory” today. Use it to determine if your own house is in order. I encourage you to not skip this part. A healthy relationship with the Lord is the solid ground upon which we

stand when conducting spiritual warfare. Examine yourself and seek righteousness. Praying the “Blood of Jesus” can be powerful.

In the hands of a true believer, with a repentant and surrendered heart, one can truly see the mountains be moved. The enemy moved back. Victory over evil claimed.

“Spiritual Warfare Prayer (Fighting To Win) -Part 2” Winning Battles Through Prayer

Article by: John Piper I said that the Christian vision that feeds battle-winning prayer is not the imagining of a possibility but the

grasping of an inevitability, namely, the triumph of God in world evangelization. I picture it like this: when you reach out and take hold of the infallible promise of God's triumph you are reunited to the source of your life. You owe your life to the progress of God's gospel triumph in the world. And when you reach out the hand of your faith and grasp the promise of God's triumph in world evangelization as your inevitable future, there is a

tremendous spiritual dynamic released. It is as though a mighty electrical current is flowing in the world that cannot be stopped. This powerful current of kingdom power reaches you and there is an initial jolt of awakening to realities of spiritual beauty and glory

you never imagined. But then something terrible happens for so many awakened people. The point of their being jolted awake by the current of the kingdom is that they might reach out their hand and lay hold on God's glorious inevitable future, and so become a pulsating connector between God's past triumph

and God's future triumph. But instead so many people, once awakened by a jolt of kingdom power, ground their wire in the things of the world.

“Spiritual Warfare Prayer (There Is A War On)-Part 3”

Engaging in the Battle Article by: Mark Bubeck

We're in a battle in this world. We may not see it, we might forget it's there. But the enemy would love nothing more than to start our year off with discouragement and defeat, bringing fear and stress. Don't let him win.

If you're a believer who is living like salt and light in a dark world, you won't go for long without encountering spiritual warfare - obstacles and attacks he'll hurl your direction. God reminds us in His word to stay aware of

Satan’s scheme. He arms us with the sword, the Word of God, to stand against the enemy’s lies. He equips us with strength,

wisdom, and discernment through His own Spirit to stay strong in the spiritual warfare battle. He invites us to spend time in His Presence, through prayer and worship, pressing in to know Him more.

As we grow to know God’s Truth and what is real, we also know more what is false, and we are stronger to stand against it in the powerful name of Jesus. He never leaves us to fend for ourselves in a dark world,

but reminds us He is constantly with us, fighting for us, even when we cannot see. Praying God’s words back to Him, is a powerful weapon against the forces of evil. It is Truth going out.

It reminds us that God knows our way and understands what we face today. It builds our faith and our trust in God. It guards our hearts and focuses our minds back on Him. It wins the battle.

Prayer + God's Word = Power

when I die: The angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads. Thomas De Witt Talmage

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth

This Month’s Prayer

Father, we offer up to You our lives as living sacrifices.

May we be holy and pleasing to You.

In whatever form of work we do may we do so with diligence as unto the

Lord. We thank You for the variety of giftings and work skills You give us

in regard to vocational work and how we are blessed and provided for.

We honor you as we have a proper view toward work, as we live in a way

that pleases You, and as we shine like lights in this dark world.

Amen.

“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”Psalm 121:1-2

If we do not tremble before God, the world’s system seems wonderful to us and pleasantly consumes us.

James Montgomery Boice

This Month’s Golden Text

"For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me."

Acts 18:10

Smile

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them,

and they follow me: And I give unto them

eternal life; and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them out of my

hand. My Father, which gave them me, is

greater than all; and no man is able to pluck

them out of my Father’s hand.

I and my Father are one.” ~

Jesus of Nazareth; John 10:27-30
