Designer of the monthPhillipe StarckBorn in 1949, Philippe Starck was bought up and educated in Parisand eventually opened his own design rm there which originally spe-cialised in inatable objects.

Since 1975 Philippe Starck has worked independently as aninterior designer and product designer, with his career beingsufciently boosted aer designing the interior or the privateapartments o the French President Franois Mitterrand.

Marcel WandersOne o the most amous Dutch designers. As a member o Droog Design, he is goodat combining humor and passion into design. In the year o 1996, Marcel Wanders iswell known or his design work o Knotted Chair.

Later he ounded his own urniture brandMoooi, and takes the position o artistic direc-tor in person. From his typical design work othe private deluxe residence in Amsterdam, the

LUE SUIES Hotel in Amsterdam, and theKameha Grand Bonn Hotel in Germany, it is notdifcult to nd that luxury and dreamis thedesign tricks he tends to use. Even the privateresidence and ordinary hotels can be turned intothe crystal palace where Cinderella meets withthe Prince.

Antonio Citterio is an Italian urniture designer and industrialdesigner who lives and works in Milan.Citterio graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano andsince 1972 has worked or many leading manuacturers such as

Ansorg, B&B Italia, Flexorm, Flos,Hackman, Iittala, Hansgrohe,Inda, Pozzi e Ginori, Kartell, Arclinea and Vitra. Maxalto, a B&BItalia brand, is designed and coordinated entirely by Antonio Cit-terio. He has also been engaged in architectural works dealing with

construction projects and interiors both in Italy andabroad. He holds lectures and conerences all over theworld and his work has been extensively exhibited and

published.
