ASSEMBLE IN GOD’S NAME
Welcome Brad Clayton
Prelude Adam Ravain
*Call to Worship (responsive) MJ Ray
We come this day, precious God, as people in need of Your steadfast love. The steadfast love of the Lord endures forever. We gather this day, water-changing God, as people looking for signs. The steadfast love of the Lord endures forever. We worship this day, gifting God, as people who confess Jesus as our Lord. Continue to love us, God, through the love of Jesus Christ. For Your steadfast love endures forever, a sure and ready love that never, ever ends.
*Hymn No. 611 Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee
Call to Confession MJ Ray
Prayer of Confession
God our Redeemer, We confess that our lives do not reflect Your glory. We have been fickle and unfaithful, but Your steadfast love never fails. We try to save the best for ourselves, but You freely pour out Your gifts for all. (Silent confession)
Empower us, By Your Holy Spirit, to be faithful followers of Your way and use our gifts for the common good; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Kyrie Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ, have mercy upon us. Lord, have mercy upon us.
Declaration of Forgiveness MJ Ray
*Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
*The Passing of the Peace
The peace of the Lord be with you always. And also with you.

*Hymn No. 203 Jesu, Jesu, Fill Us With Your Love
Offering The Bread of Life Chancel Choir
by Joel Ramey
Lord, break Your bread of life. At this table, Lord, we lay our burdens down; at Your feet we humbly kneel to pray. At the foot of the cross, we contemplate the cost as we share this feast today. Lord, break Your bread of life for me: feed my hunger, set my spirit free; pour out Your grace on me. Lord, fill my cup from the fountain of Your love. Open my eyes that I might see. Bread of life, Lord, for me.
At the table, Lord, we renew our strength; from this cup we drink of boundless grace. Teach us, Lord, how to share the bounty of Your care when we leave this holy place. Lord, break Your bread of life for me: feed my hunger, set my spirit free; pour out Your grace on me. Lord, fill my cup from the fountain of Your love. Open my eyes that I might see. Break Your bread of life, Lord, for me.
Holy Communion
Invitation to the Lord’s Table Brad Clayton
Prayer of Thanksgiving The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise. . . . Therefore we join our voices with all Your people in every time, every place, and every language, singing praises to Your holy name: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might! Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name, the name of the Lord. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest! . . . Great is the mystery of faith: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. . . .

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

The sanctuary flowers are in loving memory of Karen McGehee. Karen’s family wishes to express their love and appreciation for all of the meals provided during Karen’s
illness. She looked forward each day to having a visit from one of her friends. Your love and support, phone calls, visits, flowers and care for her and all of us were so welcomed during this time.

Faith Formation: Wednesday, 6 p.m., Parlor. Guardian Ad Litem, with Taylor Tachell. The Guardian Ad Litem Program serves children in our community who have experienced abuse, abandonment, and neglect. Volunteer child advocates are court appointed to children who are involved in an open child welfare case. Advocates are specially trained to consider issues relevant to the best interests of the child, and make recommendations that assist the judge regarding important decisions about the life of a child. Our goal is to help each child reach a loving, safe, and permanent home where they can thrive.
