Mr. Setton is very well known in the Superyacht World previously being the original owner of among others the 194ft expedition superyacht ‘SENSES’ and 60ft Daysailer `CIAO GIANNI´. He was intimately involved with her design and specification during her construction and debugging which is now completed. Due to change of owner’s program this is a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most modern and reliable Motoryachts in ´brand new condition´ with immediate delivery. The main request for ´ENMER´ was to build a Very Fast but Very Efficient vessel also in the roughest conditions with Maximum Range (approx. 600 nm at 25 kts) which can be operated without crew safely. To enlarge the operation radius with Shallow Draft and optimize handling with Joystick Control a Marine Jet Power 350 Propulsion was installed. To increase comfort under way lots of time and effort was invested to reduce noise and vibration to minimum. Due to the asymmetrical catamaran hull a stabilization system is not necessary even at anchor. ENMER has an innovative and unique hybrid hull design seamlessly fusing an asymmetrical catamaran with a wave piercing mono hull combining the stability of a catamaran with the rough weather capabilities of a deep V monohull. The design incorporates two fix Hysucraft Hydrofoils allowing her to run very efficiently at any speed. ´ENMER´ is powered by a pair of very reliable and easy to maintain Caterpillar C18 1,150hp engines through ZF 500 gearboxes with propulsion by Marine Jet Power Hybrid 350 waterjets and total output of 2.300 hp. A full Humphree interceptor trim control system allows precise control of her trim enabling her to operate in both ‘wave piercing’ and conventional high speed mode. During sea trials she achieved a very impressive, considering her 23 m length, maximum speed of 44 kts. Long range fuel tanks provide her with extended offshore voyage capabilities and a ca. 600 nm range. ‘ENMER’ is fitted out to a very high standard with a clean, minimalistic but luxurious interior design incorporating a Master Bedroom and VIP Cabin with ensuite heads plus a separate Crew quarter in the bow section. The main saloon incorporating SHOXS military spec shock mitigation seating for her ‘driving area’ and a full concealed galley and comfortable dinette settee in the living area with retractable table that can transform easily into a bed. Twin Dometic 27,000 btu air conditioning units powered by her 18 kW AC generator ensure her cabins are kept cool in hot climates. Beside that good natural ventilation is provided through lots of opening windows and hatches. A very well designed flybridge with access through stairs from the saloon provides a second calm, safe and dry commanding helm position with no wind even at 40 kts+! The flybrdge´s bimini is capable to remain open even at full speed. CONSTRUCTION AND HULL DESIGN The design is a high speed design with a moulded length of 21.4 m and a LOA of 23 m (70 ft). The hull design is extremely innovative (Patent applied for) andseamlessly fuses a twin stepped asymmetrical catamaran hull form with a wave piercing monohull, to create a hybrid design that delivers the rough weather andhigh speed dynamic transverse stability of a catamaran, with the steep head sea capabilities of a deep V monohull. The vessel is of FRP construction featuringvinylester resin, E glass composite with specific carbon fiber reinforcement at high structural load areas, (face of stiffeners and transverse b/head stiffening) Thehull is cored with 30mm 80gm2 core and designed to BV structural rules and requirements. The design is capable of ‘all weather operation’ survivable up to sea state 8, Capable of operatingeffectively in up to sea state 6, (5 m waves) and Beaufort F9 wind strengths and maintain operational speed in sea state 2­3.  The structure is primarily longitudal for the monohull section overall whereby the longitudal members are more numerous than the transverse members. Theengine room and tank space areas amidships, where the priority transitions to primarily transverse, this is to resist flexing between the two catamaran hulls. Theouter hull sides of both the catamaran and monohull sections are cored as is the bridge deck top and tunnel sides. The bottom is a cored laminate. Three main full bulkheads and several partial bulkheads are incorporated, as are transverse webs, notably between the bridge deck and main deck / cabin sole toreduce flex between the catamaran hulls, as well as the forward mono hulls bottom structure. The fuel tanks are designed and incorporated as integral to the hullstructure. 1.
