WHYALLA PARISH 2017 AGM: The Parish AGM will be held on Sunday 30 April 2017 after morning service at St James Whyalla, followed by a shared lunch. Those attending are asked to bring along a savoury and sweet dish to share.
THANKYOU. Suzanne & Bob would like to thank everyone for the cards and gifts received for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Thank you also to Pastor Tim and all the helpers. You helped to make our special day a great success.
PASTOR TIM has received a Call to the Portland-Heywood Lutheran Church. Please keep him, Lauren and Eve in your prayers as he makes his decision.
WOMENS FELLOWSHIP - LWSA/NT 51st Convention 20th May at 9.30am hosted by St Michael's Lutheran Women's Guild, Hahndorf. Shared accommodation has been organised and we are planning to travel on Friday and stay 2 nights. If interested in attending see Di Zimmermann.
At the last General Synod, A close vote saw the decision to ordain women defeated, but the discussion goes on. A draft consultation booklet is available on the LCA website, or available by contacting the church on [email protected] or 8267 7300. Consultation meetings are being held around the country. The closest to us are in the respective churches - St Petri Nuriootpa 7th May and Port Lincoln 25th June.
MOTHERS DAY TRADING TABLE at little Woollies on the 13th May. Donations of cakes, slices. sausage rolls, plants, etc. will be appreciated. Helpers will be needed on the day.
SA & NT DISTRICT One-Day Synod Meeting, to be held on Saturday 20th May at Golden Grove Lutheran Church. Our delegate, Ian McArthur will be attending on our behalf.
PASTOR TIM’S ANNUAL LEAVE. Pastor Tim will be on leave from 1st- 14th May and will be attending Pastors Conference on Sunday 15th May.
