Advanced Manufacturing Management The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree completion program allows students with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics Technology, or Automated Manufacturing Technology to pursue a four-year degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate. The College of Science and Technology has crafted the program to meet the needs of students and the manufacturing base in the Upstate of South Carolina and beyond. Degree recipients will become qualified operations managers who are equipped for leadership positions in advanced manufacturing. Many students will complete the program part-time while working in manufacturing. The development of the program was a cooperative effort between USC Upstate, technical colleges in the Upstate, BMW Manufacturing, and other manufacturers to provide leadership skills and advancement opportunities for technology degree holders. Bureau of Labor and Statics projects there to be 245,000 manufacturing jobs in South Carolina alone. Ranked number one among Public Regional Colleges in the South by US News & World Report. 245,000 1

Advanced Manufacturing ManagementThe Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree completion program allows students with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics Technology, or Automated Manufacturing Technology to pursue a four-year degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate.

The College of Science and Technologyhas crafted the program to meet the needsof students and the manufacturing base in the Upstate of South Carolina and beyond. • Business Administration of other related course - 12 hours

Technical Credits*42 hours transferred from Technical College for EEM, AMT, or IMT courses upon AAS completion.

*The maximum allowable transfer credits is 76 hours.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The mission of the AMM degree is to prepare students with an AAS in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics Technology, or Automated Manufacturing Technology for operational leadership positions in manufacturing. The Program Educational Objective is for graduates who have three to five years of manufacturing work experience to be employed in supervisory roles with the following job titles: Manufacturing Section Leader, Manufacturing Section Manager or Team Leader.
