ocean! —St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

If you are attending Annunciation and are not registered with the Parish as a member, we have no idea if you are a participating Catholic or not, so please register and if you can not afford to give monetarily please put a blank

visitors envelope in the offertory so that we know you are attending. Also for all of you who pay by cash we really appreciate it but if you would put it in an envelope we could track that you are attending as well. It is important when it comes to all the Sacraments. We can not say you are active if we do not know. Thank you…

If you need to schedule a baptism, please enroll in the next class that is being held at the Parish office. The class will be November 24th at 9:45 am. Please call the Parish office to register. (252)447-2112.

The Playground Project—UPDATE! Our Parish playground has served thousands of kids for the past twenty five years.

It, like any other well-loved object, is becoming old and rusty and can not serve our children to its fullest potential.

At this time, more than $23,678.51 has been donated toward the need of $50,000 for this important project. You may place checks in the Offertory, donate online at http://theplaygroundproject.weebly.com , or call our school office at 252.447.3137 with any questions.

With all the food allergies that are in our environment today there are sometimes people who are allergic to gluten. We now provide a low gluten host to those individuals. It contains less than .001% gluten and is approved for use by the Vatican. You must speak to Father Bill to let him know that you need low gluten host and it will be made available to you.

Thank you for your generous donations of food that we all make to the food pantry. We collected numerous items last weekend. Times are hard for a lot of families. Thank you for your continued sup-

port of this ministry. The item of need for November is 48 cans of Tuna. We also need 70 boxes of instant mashed potatoes for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets, these should be put in the choir room as it is in addition to our regular items of need.

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!

Our Council, Assembly and our Parish are blessed with many Veterans. Monday November 11, Vet-erans Day, a day set aside to remember the service

and sacrifice of our dedicated men and women. Please take time to thank our Veterans for your free-

dom and this great Country in which we live.

Many of us remember the day we said. "I do sol-emnly swear that I will support and defend the Con-

stitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the or-ders of the President of the United States and the

orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Jus-

tice. So help me God." From that time forward, you were a Veteran!!

As Veterans, that includes those who are not in the

Knights of Columbus, we have been invited by the Cra-ven County Veteran’s Council to partake in the Veteran’s Luncheon this year to be held on Veterans Day, Monday November 11 at 11AM, Temple Baptist Church. I do hope many of us can participate.Brothers, our next 4th

Degree Assembly Meeting is Wednesday November 13, 7:30PM, St. Benedict Building.

The Knights of Columbus Council 6648 invites all Catholic men over 17 to join us in serving our

families, our parish, our Church, our God. Forms are available in the back of the Church or just ask one of

our Knights wearing our red or blue name tags.
