I applaud each and every one of you for your resiliency. The incredible amount of uncertainty and stress is not lost on me or my Family. Thank you all for your continued professionalism and for your service to our great nation. I shared with you my priorities for this battalion in the previous newsletter. I also noted I would elaborate on those areas and so I’ll dive into the first priority, Family. It is never my intent to sound cliché but I believe that if your Family is not taken care of, is not settled, is not informed then the Soldier that is reporting for duty will not be able to perform well. I truly consider Family in more than one sense of the word. I am referring to friends and yes, even in some cases, our furry Family. If a Soldier isn’t confident their Family can thrive while they are serving our country the impacts are felt in the organization. I want our Soldiers to be able to perform at their peak, confident that their Family is truly a priority. I have encouraged our team to let me know what I don’t know. Tell us if you are not able to perform due to concerns back home. Families, tell us if we have a blind spot in support. I believe one way of taking care of our Family means having a job to support our Family. That means doing our part. That means showing up. That means knowing our job, doing our job, and making good choices. As we head in to the Holiday Season, knowing that some of the traditions and travels of the past are being limited, I urge you to prioritize your Family. Communicate with your leaders when you need help. This will give our team the right headspace to come in to work ready to succeed. This will give confidence in our ability to serve you while you serve our country. We are all in this together, we are stronger together. Train to Support! A MESSAGE FROM PROVIDER 6 LTC Schulz

Here we are approaching

the Holiday Season and still living under strange and unusual conditions with COVID 19.

I am referring to friends and yes,

even in some cases, our furry Family.

That means

knowing our job, doing our job, and making good choices.

As we head in to the Holiday Season, knowing that some of the traditions and travels of the past are being

limited, I urge you to prioritize your Family. Communicate with your leaders when you need help. This will give our team the right headspace to come in to work ready to succeed. This will give confidence in our ability to serve you while you serve our country. We are all in this together, we are stronger together. Train to Support!

A MESSAGE FROM PROVIDER 7 CSM Ricketts

Provider family and friends, I am CSM Jeffrey G. Ricketts. First let me say it’s an honor and a privilege to serve as your Command Sergeant Major. My Family and I are joining you from Hawaii where I previously served as the G4 SGM for the 311th Signal Command (Theater). I am

delighted to serve alongside our Battalion Commander, as we strive to create a positive environment, build rapport, and provide outstanding leadership and mentorship to every member of the Provider Team. I know I might not have gotten around to meet every one of you. I ask all of you out there to give 100 percent effort and remember why you are serving. I have always maintained the belief that when the mission is demanding and the going gets tough; we tend to fall back on our training, experience, and each other. Team, I need you to maintain the standards and be disciplined as we navigate through

this COVID 19 environment while protecting the force and producing “Combat Ready” Soldiers. Additionally, maximize your time off and spend time with your loved ones. Also, “Remember” that we are all leaders. We must demonstrate the Warrior Ethos, remain resilient, be confident, use sound judgment, and most of all remember that leaders lead others to get results. Providers, you make everything better.

The 266th QM BN Unit Ministry Team

(UMT) remains ready to serve the

spiritual needs of the Soldiers, Families

and Army Civilians during these

challenging times. The UMT is able to

virtually conduct counseling,

education, training, worship services,

and fellowship. These alternate forms

of religious engagements and education are transforming the Corp’s future operating model. As we transition

into the Holiday Block Leave (HBL) period, the UMT will maintain a presence in the battalion footprint in order to

continue to serve the Soldiers, Families and Army Civilians. We are honored to support you and will be praying

for all of your hard work on and off duty. We hope you find the time during this holiday season to relax and

enjoy your Family and friends. We are honored to welcome the new 266th Quartermaster Battalion Chaplain,

CPT (CH) Dickendy Barthelemy, and his Family. CH Barthelemy comes to us from the U.S. Army Reserves out of

Florida and is ready to serve as your Chaplain in the coming years. I know that you will all welcome him into the

Provider team as you did for me. This is my last newsletter, it pains me to leave such a great organization but the

HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS COMPANY “NIGHTHAWK” CPT Sargent and 1SG Purter

The TRADOC Organic

Medical Structure (TOMS) team activated on 15 October 2020. This initiative adds medical personnel in the organization in order to provide faster and easier access to medical support for IMT Soldiers and Permanent Party not only in the 266th Battalion but also across 23d Quartermaster Brigade. They are incorporating medical screening to reduce lost training

time. Behavior Health (BH) and Athletic Training (AT) are also be addressed at sick call. The Team settled in the best location in the heart of Fort Lee, HHC HQ building 3102.

HHC executed the first

Provider Leader Physical Training on 23 October 2020. HHC conducted Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) familiarization training. The training organized by DSTE and 1LT Kim designed to

build and strengthen a balance of muscular strength, power, speed, agility, coordination, flexibility, and aerobic capacity to be prepared to execute combat tasks. Soldiers of HHC have been working through the 8 step training model to ensure the event is well planned,

rehearsed, and execution meets commander’s intent.

The Provider Newsletter Joshua Haefner, Brigade

Athletic trainer, observed all the ACFT oriented exercises at the Provider Leader PT. After the training, Mr. Josh Haefner provided constructive feedback and commonly conducted errors he noticed during the training. Josh is one of absolutely necessary assets for the organization and willing to provide great knowledge.

SPC Kidd has joined DSTE and hasn’t looked back. After just a few days in her position she had the opportunity to showcase her skills when the Under Secretary of the Army, Honorable McPherson, and Regimental Command Sergeant Major, CSM Vidal observed the Squad Level After her brief she was presented coins for excellence in her performance.

Training Exercise at QMFTX.

BRAVO COMPANY “FORGED IN FIRE” CPT Okangba and 1SG Lugo

Bravo Company had an extremely busy yet productive final quarter of FY20. Of the many personnel changes, the most significant one came when CPT Nnamdi Okangba heartily took the reins as company commander once CPT Megan Yohe completed her amazing turn in the seat. Additionally, Bravo saw SFC Raymond Ubaldo successfully reach the end of his drill sergeant trail in October. As we wish DS Ubaldo success in his future endeavors, we welcomed two fresh faces to the team, DS

DeAndre Clay and SSG Olga Monzon-Gallardo.

Bravo completed two QMFTX rotations this quarter. The first FTX was the company level FTX consisting of DS Julio Berrios’ class 92G056-20 of 39 Soldiers Immediately after we executed Brigade QMFTX 21-02 consisting of 169 Soldiers spanning six unique MOS and companies; Bravo Company also provided field feeding support to the Alpha Company FTX by feeding 70 Soldiers during the rotation. After conducting back-to-back Field Training Exercises, Bravo hosted a blood drive with the Armed Services Blood Program. The blood drive with ASBP was a success, culminating in 72 completed donors which will substantially support the needs

for our deployed Soldiers and hospital patients with life-saving blood products.

Looking ahead to the remainder of the year, Bravo prepares to send its Soldiers off to a safe Holiday Block Leave amidst this health pandemic. Bravo will also see SFC Jesse Jackson, SFC Julio Berrios, and SFC Lakenya Evans reach the end of their drill sergeant trail as well. These three Noncommissioned Officers had a combined time of 60 months at Bravo. We will welcome our newest member, DS Aguilar to the Blazer Family this quarter; DS Aguilar hails from Fort Lewis, Washington.

MIKE COMPANY “NO ROOM FOR THE WEAK” CPT James and 1SG Blanchard

Mike Company is excited for the new challenges ahead as we transition our core mission from a traditional AIT company with two MOSs (88N / 92M) to the Brigade MOS-T and Holdover Company.

The graduation of 88N Class 20-021 on 21 October signified the final stage of the successful transition of our MOS 88N (Transportation

Management Coordinator) Soldiers to the 508th TTD. The final two phases of our transition will be complete in early January 2021. We are excited to announce that we will maintain our MOS 92M

(Mortuary Affairs Specialist) AIT mission as well as the command relationship with the Joint Mortuary Affairs Center.

The winter PCS season is among us. M CO’s transition unfortunately includes some of our Drill Sergeants. This Quarter we say farewell to DS Ferguson who was promoted to MSG on 1 October. Additionally, DS(s) Bello, Medina and their Families will depart Fort Lee in November. While DS King is approaching her final weeks as a Drill Sergeant, she was selected as the 88N subject matter expert and

charged with the responsibility of facilitating the 508th TTDs newly acquired AIT mission as their first Drill Sergeant.

Lastly, I would like to highlight the hard work and dedication of our Spartan Leaders. Despite the mission and personnel transition challenges coupled with operating in a COVID environment, these professional NCOs are responsible for M CO earning this Quarters Honor Company award! This is one of many accomplishments.

Happy Holidays from the Mike Company Spartan Family!

TANGO COMPANY “STANDARDS AND DISCIPLINE START HERE CPT Berger and 1SG Helmick

Tango Company will soon say good bye to CPT Berger and welcome CPT Aguilar as the new Company Commander on 9 November. We would like to thank CPT Berger for his dedication to the Tango Tiger’s and wish him well in his future endeavors as he

begins his new career path. Captain Aguilar recently graduated Captain’s Career Course. CPT Aguilar was born in Costa Rica and raised in Miami, Florida. She joined the US Army in 2002 as 68W (combat medic). We are honored to welcome Captain

Aguilar and her Family to the Tango Tiger Family. On 31 October Tango Company hosted their Halloween costume party. Good healthy fun.

Tango Soldiers were able to enjoy a safe Halloween while enjoying activities like
