NSWVGA has taken the decision, in the spirit of the Government announcement of Sunday night, to suspend all Weeks of Golf held under the auspices of NSWVGA until further notice. It would be
irresponsible, under the non- essential travel restrictions, to allow these events to continue when the health and welfare of members could be
compromised.In the coming months I urge all members and spouses/partners to closely follow
Government announcements, observe the rules as defined, look after your personal hygiene and your health. There will be a time in the future when our programme can resume and I look forward to
seeing and hearing of a full complement of veterans back playing golf.

Our Tournament Committee had a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the implications of the abovestatement and to determine when would be the appropriate time to make a decision on our Tournament.
We made the decision to cancel our Week Of Golf to be held in 2020.
We believe that this was the best thing to do, NOW, as most of you had accommodation booked, were planning to head north or south and were uncertain, given the reporting that was going on concerning lockdowns of States, whether to withdraw now or wait. We couldn’t, in all honesty, wait for what might be. As this is also considered non-essential travel, your health and well-being is the number one priority. Everyone will receive a FULL REFUND of monies paid. To affect this we need your banking details. We do not keep any financial records, so you w will need to email ([email protected]) or message me (Ray) - 0410 570 488) with the Name of Account, BSB and Account Number. Please be patient, as our Treasurer, Gary, will have to refund each one individually.
2020 - This was to be my last year as Tournament Director, so I will be going out with a whimper this year, rather than with a bang. It has been a pleasure organising the Tournament over the last 10 years. I assure you, our next Tournament Director will do a great job. So until next year ...Ray Kent ...
