N E W S Please note that children are not permitted to bring toys to school. If they are lost or damaged children can become very upset. This includes fidget toys and spinners.
Well done to Ruby A, Kexin W, Charley S, Dewi E, Scarlett G and Lacymay L who have recently earned their POW badge. A full list of children who have achieved their badge can be found on the school website.
This week Year 1 Visited Wyevale Garden Centre to further explore their plants topic. The children had the opportunity to explore the centre, plant their very own pot plant as well as listen to a trained agricultural employee talk about seeds and plant cycles. Thank you to Wyevale garden centre for your kind hospitality – they had a great day! We are pleased to announce that Friends of West St Leonards have organised some exciting events for the end of this year:
There will be a Summer Fayre taking place on Friday 23rd June from 3:30 – 5:00pm on the back playground. We will have lots of exciting stalls, games, refreshments, cakes, performances, a bouncy castle and some special guests. Following its success at the Christmas Fayre, we will be holding another coloured hamper raffle. Further information regarding your child’s year group colour and how to purchase raffle tickets will be announced soon.
We will be having a disco on Thursday 20th July for all children. Reception, Year 1, 2 & 3 will have their disco from 3:30-4:15pm and Years 4, 5 & 6 will have theirs from 4:30-5:15pm. The disco will cost £2.00 per child and refreshments will be available free of charge.
From 5:30pm until 7:00pm on Thursday 20th July Year 6 will be having their leaver’s party. Further information regarding the details of this will come home with the children.
