Newsletter - October 15, 2021 “Devotion to St. Joseph is one of the choicest graces that God can give to a soul, for it is tantamount to revealing the entire treasury of our Lord’s graces. When God wishes to raise a soul to greater heights, he unites it to St. Joseph by giving it a strong love for the good saint.” ~ St. Peter Julian Eymard October 20 - Picture Day 25 - Golf Tournament 29 - Fall Fest by 8th Grade November 1 - Feast of All Saints Respect Life Month: October Every October the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month. We are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning to the end of their lives, and at every point in between. During the month of October, the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. We are highlighting St. Joseph: Defender of Life in our Religion classes this week. We encourage all our families to join us in praying for life – all life. Additional materials can be found at https://www.respectlife.org/respect-life-month. School Picture Day – Wednesday, October 20th School pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, October 20th. We will not be doing group pictures, but will offer a composite of the class. This is what was done last year. Please avoid having your child arrive late or leave early for an appointment on that day. Order forms were sent home last week. Additional forms are available in the office. Please return forms to the office on Monday, October 18. All students in grades 1-8 must wear their school blue sweater and the boys also must wear their blue tie. Although it is gym day for 3rd & 8th grades, they will need to wear their school uniform to school that day, not their gym uniform. Kindergarten students should wear a light-colored shirt or blouse, as they will be dressed in their cap and gowns. Whether ordering online or with a check or cash, or not placing a picture order, all order forms must be returned to the school office. Oblate Sisters Celebrate 150th Anniversary
