PlacesIn Bucarest there is the Arch of Triumph built in 1879 withthe aim of marching the victorious troops returned fromthe war. In Transilvania there is the Paleș Castle which has thecharacteristics of a palace, but it has always been called"castle". Sibiu was founded in 1190 by Géza II of Hungary and wasbuilt near a Roman settlement.

In Targu Mures they have found human remains datingback to the Iron Age and the Bronze Age, whileartifacts have been found, such as ceramic vases,worked animal bones, bronze objects and statuettes ofa period prior to 2000 BC.
