Wehave audited the accompanying financial statements of NATIONALIST CONGRESSPARTY,which comprise the Balance Sheet as at 31March 2016, the Statement of Income& Expenditure Account and Cash Flow Statement for the year then ended, and asummary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information.
Management's Responsibility for the Financial Statements
The Management is responsible for the preparation of these financial statements thatgives a true and fair view of the financial position, financial performance and cash flowsof the party in accordance with the Accounting Standards issued by the Institute ofChartered Accountants of India. The responsibility also includes the design,implementation and internal control relevant to the preparation and presentation of thefinancial statements that give a true and fair view and are free from materialmisstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
Auditor's Responsibility
Our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on ouraudit. We conducted our audit in accordance with the Standard on Accounting issued bythe Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Those Standards require that we complywith the ethical requirements and plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable.assurance about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement.
An audit involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amountsand disclosures in the financial statements. The procedures selected depend on theauditor's judgment, including the assessment of the risks of material misstatement of thefinancialstatements, whether due to fraud or error. In making those risk assessments, theauditor considers internal financial control relevant to the Party's preparation of thefinancial statements that give true and fair view in order to design audit procedures thatare appropriate in the circumstances. An audit also includes evaluating theappropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of the accountingestimates made by Company's Directors, as well as evaluating the overall presentation ofthe financialstatements. Opinion
In our opinion and to the best of our information and according to the explanationsgiven to us, the aforesaid financial statements, give the information required by theapplicable law in the manner so required and give a true and fair view in conformitywith the accounting principles generally accepted in India;a) in the case of the Balance Sheet, of the state of affairs of the Company as at March 31,
2016; .b) in the case of the Statement of Income & Expenditure Account, of the Excess on
Incomeover Expenditure for the year ended on that date; andc) in the case of the Cash Flow Statement, of the cash flows for the year ended on that
date.

Basisof Accounting and Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements of the Party have been prepared in accordance with the Generally Accepted
AccountingPrinciples in India ("Indian GAAP") and with the Accounting Standards recommended byThe Instituteof Chartered Accountants of India. The financial statements have been prepared on accrualbasis under the historical cost convention.
1. Financial Statements have been prepared as historical cost and conventions in accordance withgenerallyaccepted accounting principles.
2. Voluntary contributions and membership fee are recognized on cash basis. All other income.andexpenditurehaving material bearing are accounted on accrual basis.
3. Tangible assets
Fixed assets are carried at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment losses, if any. Thecost of fixed assets includes its purchase price net of any trade discounts and rebates, any importduties and other taxes (other than those subsequently recoverable from the tax authorities), anydirectly attributable expenditure on making the asset ready for its intended use, other incidentalexpenses.
4. Depreciation
Fixed assets are stated at cost of acquisition less accumulated depreciation.
5. Cash Flow Statement

_ Notes to Accounts
1. The Party has complied with the applicable provision of the Income Tax Act, 1961andtheRepresentationof People Act, 1951and accordingly eligible for exemption of its income U/s13A,of Income Tax 1961.
2. No Contingent liabilities during the year.
3. As recommended by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India format of the financialstatementspresentation has been changed to comply with the disclosure requirement. Previousyear figures are rearranged and regrouped wherever necessary to confirm to the classificationadopted in the current year.
