A manager with the skills to get the job done... A U.S. Army veteran, Bill Hunt spent over 21 years in the Orange County Sheriff's Department working in divisions such as jails, patrol, investigations, training, narcotics, gangs and SWAT. Bill rose through the ranks to become the Chief of Police Services of San Clemente, where he managed a $9 million budget and multiple divisions. After retiring from the force in 2006, he started his own Orange County based private investigation business. He holds a Master's degree in Negotiation and Conflict Management from California State University Dominguez Hills and a B.S. in Business from University of Redlands. Bill and his wife Debbie have four children and live in Laguna Hills .
... Bill Hunt will keep criminals off our streets and protect our rights. As Sheriff, Bill will end early releases that place criminals back into our communities before they've served their full sentence. By ending costly leases with the federal government, he'll save space for local criminals and stop the overcrowding of our jails. Bill will hold misdemeanor criminals accountable by requiring they post bail before releasing them back into our streets. Bill also believes strongly in the Second Amendment right to personal protection. As Sheriff, he will uphold those rights by issuing CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons) permits to any law abiding resident that can legally possess a firearm and meet county requirements.
