1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.7 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and might;8 give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts and enter his courts;9 bow down to the LORD, splendid in holiness. Tremble before God, all the earth;10 say among the nations: The LORD is king. The world will surely stand fast, never to be moved. God rules the peoples with fairness.

3 Tell Gods glory among the nations; among all peoples, Gods marvelous deeds.

Verse 1 All the nations are called to sing a new song of praise to God.The psalm goes on to explain in verse 2 the reason for the songor give praise to His name.In verse 3 we see that we can all proclaim how Gods active participation in our lives has strengthened and preserved us.What are we to offer to God in worship? The psalmist responds in verse 8: [Ascribe to or] Give to the Lord the glory due His name Since Gods name is above every other name, and since He is our Redeemer and our Creator, His name alone is to be glorified.

of praise is to celebrate Gods saving work among His people. This call to sing to the Lord is repeated in verse 2 with the addition: bless

Verse 9 bow down to the LORD, splendid in holiness. As Paul says, Jesus cleanses the church that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any When all kinds of people joyfully accept Gods rule and worship Him according to his grace filled character, then rest of the creation will all rejoice and be at peacesuch thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.(Eph. 5:27).
